How much does the 2024 Honda Odyssey cost?

Prices have softened 9.05% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

Is the 2024 Honda Odyssey a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Honda Odyssey earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It stands out as a family minivan that prioritises practicality without feeling stripped down, and its appeal comes from a roomy, flexible cabin and a long-established reputation for comfort and durability. For you, that means a strong fit if you want a big, easygoing people mover with family-friendly equipment and a straightforward front-wheel-drive layout. With 30.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still meaningful market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2024 Honda Odyssey reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Odyssey’s appeal is supported by Honda’s emphasis on structure and refinement, including a body that uses more ultra-high-strength steel, aluminium, and magnesium. Honda says that helped cut weight by 34 kilograms while increasing structural rigidity by 44%. It also keeps a proven 3.5-litre V6 and a simple front-wheel-drive setup, which fits its long-running formula.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that early examples of this generation drew complaints for electrical glitches, infotainment issues, and transmission problems, so service records and a careful test drive matter.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Honda Odyssey?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay disciplined.

• Deal availability: 30.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 195 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.05% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $47,610 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Honda Odyssey's resale value?

The current average of $47,615 CAD sits slightly below last year's $52,352 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently today. For a future seller, it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and maintenance history rather than broad market momentum alone. Well-kept examples should still attract family buyers because the Odyssey’s practicality remains a core selling point.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Honda Odyssey or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 30.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.05% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $50,604 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $47,615 CAD average.
• It adds updated tech, including a new digital driver display and refreshed infotainment.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the better value if you want the strongest mix of price and proven family usefulness. If you want newer tech and are willing to pay more, the 2025 is the cleaner secondary path; if price matters most, the 2024 is the one to target first.
