Used 2024 Honda Civic for Sale nearPort Coquitlam, BC

How much does the 2024 Honda Civic cost?

Prices have softened 9.64% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 849 listings available, which suggests healthy inventory for used shoppers.

Is the 2024 Honda Civic a good car?

Yes — owners rate it 4.5/5, and our experts give it 8/10. The standout strength is Technology at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise the new look, interior design, driving experience, smooth manual shifting, and great gas mileage. For you, that means this Civic fits especially well if you want an engaging compact car that still works as an everyday commuter.

The trade-offs are clear: road and wind noise can be noticeable, and the driving-assistance tech can be irritating. That matters most if you want a quieter, more relaxed small car.

With 26.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, there’s still room to find a strong-value example.

Is the 2024 Honda Civic reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owners also describe the car as dependable in the way it delivers a smooth manual, strong fuel economy, and a satisfying daily-driving experience. The expert road test reinforces that impression by highlighting how well the car works as a daily driver and how smoothly the engine, shifter, and clutch operate together.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about basic durability and more about living with the car’s compromises over time, especially noise and the braking behaviour noted in hard use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Honda Civic?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Civic Si’s stealthy exterior, red interior accents, LED lighting, 18-inch matte-black wheels, and dual exhaust set it apart, while the cabin adds metal pedal covers and an aluminium shift knob.
• Powertrain: You get a high-output turbocharged 1.5-litre four-cylinder with 200 horsepower and 192 pound-feet of torque, paired only with a close-ratio six-speed manual and front-wheel drive.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-centring assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, front and rear parking sensors, and traffic sign recognition. The system can be irritating in use.
• Infotainment: Every Civic Si gets a 9-inch touchscreen with onboard navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, SiriusXM, HD Radio, and a basic HondaLink connected-services setup.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada says it should use 7.7 L/100 km in combined driving, and the test route returned 8.0 L/100 km.

Which 2024 Honda Civic trim should I buy?

The 2024 Honda Civic is offered in 1 trim level: Civic Si.

Here's the short version:

The Civic Si is the clear choice if you want the enthusiast-focused version of the Civic sedan. It adds the manual transmission, the stronger turbocharged engine, the limited-slip differential, larger brakes, and the sportier chassis tuning that make this model year special. It also brings the best technology package in the lineup, so you’re not giving up convenience to get the driving experience.

Civic Si: This is the trim to buy if you want the full performance-oriented Civic experience and value engaging driving above all else. It’s the best-value choice here because it combines the strongest hardware with the most complete equipment list.

Honda Sensing is standard, but the lane-keeping and adaptive cruise functions can be irritating.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Honda Civic?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 26.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 849 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.64% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $27,575 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Honda Civic's resale value?

The current average of $27,575 CAD sits slightly below last year's $30,516 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favourable point, but it also means future sellers may face a more competitive market if prices continue to ease. If demand stays steady, the Civic’s broad appeal and strong reputation should help support values better than less popular rivals. The enthusiast-focused Si trim may also hold interest among shoppers who specifically want a manual compact sedan.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Honda Civic safe?

The 2024 Civic sedan earns a Top Safety Pick rating from IIHS, and the 2024 Civic sedan earns five-star ratings from NHTSA overall, with a four-star rating for front passenger protection in a frontal-impact collision.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard and includes forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-centring assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, automatic high-beam headlights, front and rear parking sensors, and traffic sign recognition.

The caveat is that the system can be intrusive in everyday driving, especially the lane-keeping and lane-centring functions. The braking behaviour in hard use also deserves attention if you plan to drive the car aggressively.

Should I buy a 2024 Honda Civic or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 26.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.64% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It keeps the enthusiast-focused Si formula with a manual transmission and strong driving engagement.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $29,516 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $27,575 CAD average.
• It adds a clearer powertrain lineup and Google Built-In.

The bottom line: If you want the better value and the more attractive used-market price, the 2024 is the smarter buy. If you’re willing to pay more for the newer model’s updated lineup and tech, the 2025 is worth a look.
