Great value, AWD ,nice lines , great engine compared to the Lincoln Corsair and the fact that the edge engine utilizes a timing CHAIN vs the timing belt and by the way Toyota and Honda both use the timing belt if you do not change the timing belt every 70-80,000 miles it could destroy your engine

How much does the 2024 Ford Edge cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $31,224 CAD |
| Year-Round Low | $31,224 CAD |
| Year-Round High | $38,455 CAD |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $38,455 CAD |
| Change vs. Last Year | −18.80% |
Prices have softened 18.80% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.
There are 340 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.
Is the 2024 Ford Edge a good car?
Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction for this model year. That kind of feedback suggests you may be looking at a vehicle that has met expectations for many used-car shoppers. With 36.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is also a meaningful share of the market that may be worth a closer look.
Is the 2024 Ford Edge reliable?
Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
For used buyers, that kind of owner feedback can reduce some of the uncertainty around long-term ownership risk, especially if the specific vehicle has been well maintained.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Ford Edge?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy without expecting every listing to be a bargain.
- Deal availability: 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 340 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 18.80% compared with last year.
If you find a listing below $31,224 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2024 Ford Edge's resale value?
The current average of $31,224 CAD sits slightly below last year's $38,455 CAD.
That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favourable point in the cycle, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, buying well today matters more because your eventual trade-in or private-sale value will depend heavily on how much room you leave between purchase price and market average. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2024 Ford Edge or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2024 if:
- 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 18.80% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
The bottom line:
The 2024 Ford Edge makes sense if you want a model year with strong owner satisfaction and a market that currently favours careful shoppers. If your priority is getting the lowest possible entry price, you may want to compare nearby years as well, but if you find a well-priced 2024 listing, it is a sensible primary choice.
