Is the 2024 Ford Bronco a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Ford Bronco earns a 4.7/5 from owners and a 6.8/10 from our experts. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel, Performance, and Form and function.

Owners consistently praise its off-road capability, modern features, and stylish interior design. The Bronco also stands out for being fun to drive and comfortable, with plenty of cargo space. On the trade-off side, our experts note poor fuel economy and the lack of a hybrid or plug-in hybrid option.

For buyers who want a rugged SUV with personality and real trail ability, the Bronco fits that brief well. There are 32.5% good or great deals in the market, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Ford Bronco reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable in the ways Bronco shoppers care about most, especially for off-road use and day-to-day enjoyment. The expert drive notes also describe the drivetrain as satisfying, with good acceleration, clean shifts, and easy 4-Hi and 4-Lo engagement. Ford also includes a complimentary Bronco Trail App for trail maps and information, which adds to the ownership experience.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that this is a rugged SUV with higher running costs and more wear-prone off-road hardware than a typical commuter vehicle.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Ford Bronco?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Big Bend is the standard trim level, and the Sasquatch Package adds a suspension lift, 35-inch mud-terrain tyres, and other off-roading equipment. The Bronco looks and feels nicer inside than the Jeep Wrangler, but the base setup can feel sparse if you want more comfort and convenience.
• Powertrain: The standard 2.3-litre EcoBoost four-cylinder makes 300 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque, and many Broncos offer a seven-speed manual or a 10-speed automatic. A 2.7-litre EcoBoost V6 is available, while the Raptor uses a 3.0-litre EcoBoost V6 with 418 hp and 440 lb-ft.
• Safety package: Ford Co-Pilot360 adds lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear parking sensors. Forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, automatic high-beam headlights, and a backup camera with guidance grid lines are standard, while adaptive cruise control, front parking sensors, and a surround-view camera system are available.
• Infotainment: Every Bronco gets a 12-inch Sync 4 touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, FordPass Connect services, SiriusXM 360L satellite radio, and a seven-speaker stereo. Higher trims add connected navigation and a Bang & Olufsen premium audio system with 10 speakers.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada figures for the Big Bend Sasquatch are 13.1 L/100 km in the city, 13.8 L/100 km on the highway, and 13.4 L/100 km combined. Without the Sasquatch Package, the same setup is rated at 12.0 L/100 km city, 11.2 L/100 km highway, and 11.6 L/100 km combined.

Which 2024 Ford Bronco trim should I buy?

The 2024 Ford Bronco is offered in 9 trim levels: Big Bend, Badlands, Raptor, and the other Bronco variants explicitly referenced in the model-year content.

Here's the short version:

• Big Bend: This is the standard trim and the best starting point if you want the Bronco experience without immediately stepping into pricier equipment. It already gets the core infotainment and safety basics, and it suits buyers who want the Bronco’s character first and foremost.
• Badlands: This is the better pick if you want a more trail-focused setup and are willing to pay for added capability. The content specifically notes a more rugged front bumper on the Badlands for 2024.
• Raptor: Choose this if you want the most extreme Bronco character and the strongest performance focus. It gets exclusive 3.0-litre EcoBoost V6 power and additional 2024 colour choices.

Ford’s safety package is strongest once you move beyond the most basic setup, since the Mid Package adds the full collection of Ford Co-Pilot360 technologies.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Ford Bronco?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it makes sense to compare listings carefully and move quickly on the right one.

• Deal availability: 32.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 348 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.97% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $53,219 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Ford Bronco's resale value?

The current average of $53,219 CAD sits slightly below last year's $60,458 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the Bronco has moved into a more buyer-friendly part of the market, which can make it harder for a future seller to command a premium unless the vehicle is especially well equipped or lightly used. If you buy at the right price now, you may have less downside risk than someone who bought when prices were higher. Strong trim content and desirable equipment should help support demand when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Ford Bronco safe?

The 2024 Ford Bronco earns favourable IIHS ratings overall, except for its headlight performance, which gets a Marginal score. It earns a four-star frontal-impact rating and a mediocre three-rating for rollover resistance from NHTSA.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Ford equips the Bronco Big Bend with forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, automatic high-beam headlights, and a backup camera with guidance grid lines. The Mid Package adds lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear parking sensors. Adaptive cruise control, front parking sensors, and a surround-view camera system are also available.

The main caveat is that the NHTSA results are incomplete, and the headlight score is a weak point in the IIHS testing.

Should I buy a 2024 Ford Bronco or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 32.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.97% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Ford added a standard 12-inch Sync 4 infotainment system and refreshed the Bronco Badlands and Raptor for 2024.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $49,673 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $53,219 CAD average.
• It offers two- and four-door versatility across nine models.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $56,545 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $53,219 CAD average.
• It adds more comfort for daily driving while keeping the Bronco’s off-road focus.

The bottom line: If you want the freshest used Bronco with updated tech and a softer market, the 2024 is the primary target. If price matters most, the 2023 is the value play; if you want the newest version and can spend more, look to the 2025.
