Used 2022 Ford Bronco for SaleNationwide

How much does the 2022 Ford Bronco cost?

Prices have softened 10.62% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 328 listings available, which suggests a decent amount of inventory for you to compare.

Is the 2022 Ford Bronco a good car?

Yes — it earns a 4.5/5 user rating and an 8.00/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Performance, and Form and function.

Owners consistently praise its performance, off-road capability, comfort, tech features, and spaciousness. That lines up well with the Bronco’s use case as a rugged SUV that still feels composed on regular roads, especially if you want something adventurous without giving up everyday drivability.

The main trade-offs are that advanced safety features are not standard and some owners feel it is overpriced with too many essential features left optional. Even so, 32.3% of listings are good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Ford Bronco reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable, with repeated praise for its performance, comfort, tech features, and spaciousness. That kind of feedback suggests you can count on it for the kind of use it was built for, especially if you value a rugged SUV that still works well day to day.

The expert review also highlights that the Bronco’s systems function as advertised, with no false alarms or glitches. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is more about value and feature packaging than basic durability.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Ford Bronco?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Bronco’s lineup spans a deep roster of versions, with off-road capability increasing as you move up. Base models keep the utilitarian theme, while higher trims add more specialised hardware and features. The base trim also misses several advanced safety features that are available on higher packages.
• Powertrain: You can choose between a four-cylinder or six-cylinder engine, and both are turbocharged. The four-cylinder is the more efficiency-minded option, while the V6 brings more power and torque for harder use.
• Safety package: The Bronco includes hill-start assist, hill descent control, and trailer sway control as standard. Frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alerts, lane-keep assist, rear parking sensors, and automatic high beams are available on all but the base trim as part of the optional Mid package.
• Infotainment: The Bronco uses Sync 4 with quick responses and sharp graphics. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and the system is paired with helpful off-road apps.
• Fuel efficiency: The two-door with the base four-cylinder engine is estimated at 12.1 L/100 km in the city, 11.2 on the highway, and 11.7 combined with the automatic transmission. The V6 ranges between 12.4 and 15.3 L/100 km combined.

Which 2022 Ford Bronco trim should I buy?

The 2022 Ford Bronco is offered in 6 trim levels: Big Bend, Black Diamond, Outer Banks, Badlands, Wildtrak, and Everglades.

Here's the short version:

• Big Bend: This is the entry point and the best place to start if you want the Bronco experience without chasing every off-road add-on. It gives you the core Bronco character and is the most accessible way into the lineup.
• Black Diamond: Choose this if you want a stronger off-road focus than the base trim without jumping all the way to the pricier specialist models. It adds capability while staying relatively approachable.
• Outer Banks: This trim suits you if you want a more polished, everyday-friendly Bronco with a stronger emphasis on comfort and style. It still keeps the Bronco’s rugged identity intact.
• Badlands: This is the best-value choice if you want serious trail hardware and a more capable setup without going to the top of the range. It is the trim to target if off-road use matters most.
• Wildtrak: Pick this if you want one of the most capable Broncos in the standard lineup and are willing to pay for it. It is aimed at buyers who want a more extreme off-road setup.
• Everglades: This is the most specialised choice here, with swamp-trekking and deep-water hardware including an intake snorkel, a Warn winch, and 35-inch mud-terrain tyres. It suits you if you want maximum off-road capability and unique equipment.

The safety package is strongest on trims equipped with the Mid, High, or Lux packages, since the base trim leaves several advanced driver-assistance features optional.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Ford Bronco?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you should shop carefully and compare listings.

• Deal availability: 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 328 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.62% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $39,895 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Ford Bronco's resale value?

The current average of $39,895 CAD sits slightly below last year's $44,637 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the Bronco has become a little easier for buyers to access, which can help keep demand healthy in the used market. For a future seller, that means you may not see the same peak pricing as before, but the model’s strong appeal should still support interest.

Its broad trim range and strong reputation for capability help it stand out from more ordinary SUVs. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Ford Bronco safe?

The 2022 Ford Bronco earns a Good score from IIHS and a four-star rating for frontal crash protection from NHTSA, along with three-star rollover ratings.

It earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety features include hill-start assist, hill descent control, and trailer sway control. Frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking, a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alerts, lane-keep assist, rear parking sensors, and automatic high beams are available on all but the base trim as part of the optional Mid package. Front parking sensors and a surround-view camera system are offered with the High package, while the Lux package adds adaptive cruise control and evasive steering assist.

A key caveat is that advanced safety features are not standard, so you may need to move up the trim ladder or add packages to get the full suite.

Should I buy a 2022 Ford Bronco or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.62% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It combines serious off-road ability with better pavement manners than the Wrangler.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $49,301 CAD, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $39,895 CAD average.
• It adds nine distinct models and broader choice across two- and four-door layouts.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2022 is the smarter buy because pricing has eased and owner satisfaction remains strong. If you are willing to pay more for a newer model year with broader model choice, the 2023 is the alternative to watch.
