It stands out as a practical compact SUV with a roomy cabin, more power than many rivals in its class, and standard advanced safety features through Chevy Safety Assist. Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Chevrolet Equinox?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 458 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.86% compared with last year.

What is the 2024 Chevrolet Equinox's resale value?

The current average of $27,345 CAD sits slightly below last year's $32,891 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Equinox has become more accessible for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. The current market still shows healthy demand, which can help support resale, especially if you buy well and keep the vehicle in strong condition. A practical SUV with broad appeal tends to remain easier to move than a niche model.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Chevrolet Equinox or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.86% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $24,999 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $27,345 CAD average.
• It offers a sensible, value-focused package with easy-to-use tech and a comfortable ride.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $34,553 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $27,345 CAD average.
• It brings a redesigned look with new standard tech and safety features.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the best all-around choice if you want the strongest mix of value, satisfaction, and current-market pricing. If your priority is spending less, the 2023 is the smarter budget pick. If you want the newest design and are willing to pay more, the 2025 is the upgrade path to consider.
