Used 2023 Subaru WRX for Sale nearWoodbridge, ON

How much does the 2023 Subaru WRX cost?

Prices have softened 3.82% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 227 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Subaru WRX a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Subaru WRX earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.67/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Safety.

It stands out as a rally-inspired compact performance sedan with standard all-wheel drive, strong handling, and a manual transmission option. At the same time, the technology can feel unintuitive, and it gives up cargo space to some rivals, so it suits you best if driving enjoyment matters more than everyday utility.

With 31.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitively priced example.

Is the 2023 Subaru WRX reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The WRX is presented as a durable, everyday-friendly performance sedan with a basic interior that should hold up well over time. Its well-mannered character and standard all-wheel drive also point to a car that can handle daily use with confidence.

Its 2.4-litre turbocharged boxer engine and available CVT are described as smooth and predictable, which supports a sense of mechanical polish. Subaru’s warranty coverage is fairly standard, and that can help reduce early ownership anxiety.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that performance-oriented driving and premium fuel requirements can push running costs higher than you might expect.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Subaru WRX?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Base models get 17-inch alloy wheels and a simpler cabin with cloth upholstery, while Sport and Sport-Tech move to 18-inch wheels and a larger touchscreen. The top Sport-Tech trim adds Ultrasuede upholstery, red stitching, and a more upscale driver’s seat, so it is the one to target if you want the most complete interior.
• Powertrain: You get a 2.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder boxer engine with 271 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, plus standard all-wheel drive. A 6-speed manual is standard, while the CVT is optional on Sport and Sport-Tech.
• Safety package: EyeSight is the named driver-assistance suite, and it adds adaptive cruise control, automated lane-centring, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, and lane-departure warning. It is only available with the CVT, so manual-transmission cars miss out on that package.
• Infotainment: Base models use dual 7-inch touchscreens, while Sport and Sport-Tech get an 11.6-inch portrait-oriented display. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and the larger screen is easier to read.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada rates the manual at 10.8 L/100 km combined, while the CVT is rated at 11.2 L/100 km combined. Premium fuel requirements can raise operating costs.

Which 2023 Subaru WRX trim should I buy?

The 2023 Subaru WRX is offered in 3 trim levels: base, Sport, and Sport-Tech.

Here's the short version:

• base: This is the value play if you want the WRX experience at the lowest entry point. You still get the core formula of standard all-wheel drive, a manual transmission, and the performance character that defines the car, but you give up the larger screen and more upscale cabin touches found higher up.
• Sport: This is the best-value trim for many buyers because it adds the 11.6-inch touchscreen and opens the door to the CVT and EyeSight. If you want a more modern cabin and more available safety tech without going all the way to the top trim, this is the sweet spot.
• Sport-Tech: Choose this if you want the most complete WRX, with Ultrasuede upholstery, red stitching, the upgraded driver’s seat, and the premium audio system. It is the right pick if you want the most refined version of the car rather than the best bargain.

EyeSight is only available with the CVT, and it is restricted to the Sport and Sport-Tech trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Subaru WRX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 31.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 227 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.82% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $31,160 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Subaru WRX's resale value?

The current average of $31,223 CAD sits slightly below last year's $32,461 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy more confidently today. For a future seller, it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim choice rather than on broad market momentum alone.

Because the WRX is still a desirable performance sedan with strong enthusiast appeal, well-kept examples should remain easier to move than more ordinary compact cars. Higher-spec trims and clean service histories are likely to matter most when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Subaru WRX safe?

The 2023 WRX earns top "Good" scores in all crash tests completed so far from IIHS, and it received a five-star overall safety rating from NHTSA, including five-star ratings in frontal, side, and rollover crash tests.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Subaru’s EyeSight driver-assist suite is available only with the CVT and adds adaptive cruise control, automated lane-centring, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, and lane-departure warning. Other available features include blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane change assist, and reverse automatic braking on CVT-equipped Sport and Sport-Tech models.

One caveat is that the standard headlights were rated "Acceptable" by IIHS, while the Sport-Tech’s available headlights earned a "Good" rating.

Should I buy a 2023 Subaru WRX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 31.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.82% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It keeps the current-generation formula with standard all-wheel drive, strong handling, and a manual transmission option.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $29,492 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $31,223 CAD average.
• It delivers a polished mix of performance and all-weather practicality.

The bottom line: If you want the current model-year WRX with a healthy used-market supply and softer pricing than a year ago, the 2023 is the better all-around pick. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2022 is the smarter value play and still captures much of the WRX’s appeal.
