Is the 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander a good car?

With a 3.7/5 user rating, the 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander is a practical choice if you want a compact SUV that stands out for its standard third row and available plug-in hybrid efficiency. It offers a more substantial exterior presence than many rivals, plus a modern cabin layout with an available digital instrument panel and a larger touchscreen.

Its strongest fit is for you if passenger flexibility matters more than outright performance, since the gas model is tuned for comfort and the available advanced features add everyday usefulness. The market also shows 27.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander reliable?

The 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander is positioned as a practical, well-equipped compact SUV with a quiet cabin for most driving and a comfort-focused setup. It also brings useful technology and a distinctive seven-seat layout that can make it more versatile than many rivals.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that its weaker performance and accelerated depreciation can make it less rewarding if you plan to keep it for many years.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 27.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 468 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.43% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $29,604 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander's resale value?

The current average of $29,742 CAD sits slightly below last year's $33,965 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Outlander has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation. If you buy now, you may be entering at a lower point than recent owners did, but future resale could remain pressured if the market continues to favour newer or better-equipped alternatives.

Should I buy a 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 27.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.43% compared with last year.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $25,804 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $29,742 CAD average.
• The 2022 brings a fresh redesign with a smooth drive and stylish appearance.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2023 if you want the stronger value proposition in today’s market and are drawn to its seven-seat flexibility. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2022 is the better price-sensitive alternative.
