Is the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee earns a 5/5 user rating, and its appeal comes from blending genuine off-road ability with a more premium feel than many mainstream SUVs. You also get a versatile SUV that can handle rough conditions without giving up an upscale cabin, plus a broad trim range that lets you choose between a more basic setup and a much more luxurious one. For shoppers who want capability and refinement in one package, that combination is the Grand Cherokee’s core strength. 36.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2023 Grand Cherokee’s appeal is built around a familiar formula: strong capability, premium features, and a wide trim range. It also offers standard four-wheel drive in Canada, which supports its all-weather usefulness. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure you inspect listings carefully, especially because the previous-generation model overlapped with early WL-Series production.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on strong listings.

• Deal availability: 36.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 460 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.48% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $37,803 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee's resale value?

The current average of $37,803 CAD sits slightly below last year's $40,858 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy more carefully today, but it also means future sellers may face a more competitive market if prices stay under pressure. The year-round range still shows healthy demand, which can support resale stability if you buy the right trim and condition. Well-equipped examples should remain easier to market than basic ones, especially if they present as clean, well maintained, and properly optioned.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 36.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.48% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $33,408 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $37,803 CAD average.
• It offers redesigned versatility with strong off-road ability and everyday comfort.

The bottom line: Choose the 2023 if you want the current-year pricing context and a broad selection of listings to compare. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2022 is the better value path and still gives you the Grand Cherokee’s core mix of capability and comfort.
