Should I buy a 2023 Hyundai Kona or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 28.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.79% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $21,338 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $23,398 CAD average.
• It adds a refreshed look and more polished features.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $27,783 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $23,398 CAD average.
• It brings a full redesign with new technology.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the best all-around choice if you want a distinctive Kona with strong equipment and a softer price than the newer model. If your priority is saving money, the 2022 is the better value path; if you want the newest design and can stretch your budget, the 2024 is the upgrade route.
