Is the 2023 Honda Passport a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Honda Passport earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its spacious interior, comfortable seating, and powerful performance, and many also like the ample cargo space and smooth ride. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you want a practical two-row SUV with room for passengers and gear, especially if everyday comfort matters more than flashy tech. The user feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with drivers highlighting comfort and strong performance over the long term. Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Honda Passport?

This looks like a moderate buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 80 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.12% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $40,908 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Honda Passport's resale value?

The current average of $41,305 CAD sits slightly below last year's $46,472 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favourable point, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, the Passport’s value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well it has been maintained. Strong demand from shoppers who want a roomy, comfortable SUV should help support pricing, especially for clean examples.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Honda Passport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.12% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $38,246 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $41,305 CAD average.
• It adds a tougher look and the first TrailSport trim name.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $45,951 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $41,305 CAD average.
• It keeps the formula simple with proven tech and a familiar feel.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the best all-around pick if you want strong owner satisfaction, solid value, and a good mix of comfort and practicality. If your priority is spending less, the 2022 is the better price-first alternative, while the 2024 makes sense only if you want the newer model year and are comfortable paying more.
