Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Honda Civic?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 27.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,122 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.51% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $25,739 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Honda Civic's resale value?

The current average of $25,739 CAD sits slightly below last year's $28,762 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy with less risk of overpaying. For a future seller, it also means resale value may be steadier if you buy at the right price and keep the car in strong condition.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Honda Civic or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 27.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.51% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $23,670 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $25,739 CAD average.
• The 2022 brings a fresh redesign with strong technology and comfort.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $27,575 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $25,739 CAD average.
• The 2024 adds a more performance-focused, enthusiast-oriented setup.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the best all-around pick if you want strong owner satisfaction, broad appeal, and a market that has eased a bit from last year. If your priority is saving money, the 2022 is the smarter value play; if you want a more enthusiast-leaning setup, look to the 2024.
