That softer pricing trend suggests future sellers may face a more competitive market than owners did a year ago. If you buy now, you may benefit from better upfront value, but resale gains could be more modest if prices continue to ease.

Strong owner satisfaction can help support demand, especially for a practical hybrid SUV with broad appeal. Well-equipped, fuel-efficient models like this one often stay attractive to used buyers even when the market cools.

Should I buy a 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 38.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.08% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The first Canadian CR-V Hybrid brings standard advanced safety features and a single, well-equipped Touring trim.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $39,677 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $38,403 CAD average.
• It adds a lower-priced EX-L Hybrid trim with standard all-wheel drive.

The bottom line: If you want the best current value on the first Canadian CR-V Hybrid, the 2023 is the smarter buy. If you prefer a newer model year with a lower entry point to the hybrid powertrain, the 2024 is worth a look, especially if you are price-sensitive and want more trim choice.
