Used 2023 Honda CR-V for Sale nearGranby, QC

How much does the 2023 Honda CR-V cost?

Prices have softened 10.61% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 936 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Honda CR-V a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Honda CR-V earns a 4.71/5 user rating and a 7.83/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Form and function and Safety.

Drivers consistently praise its smooth ride, quality interior, and great features, and they also respond well to its safety and economy. The CR-V’s roomy cabin and plenty of cargo space make it especially appealing if you want an easy-to-live-with compact SUV for daily use and family duty.

The main trade-offs are the irritating transmission and uninspired styling, and the technology still trails some rivals in ambition. Even so, the CR-V’s comfort, utility, and drivability make it a strong fit if you value practicality over flash. With 28.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Honda CR-V reliable?

Owners rate it 4.71/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with drivers highlighting the CR-V’s smooth ride, quality interior, and strong economy. The expert assessment also describes it as an exceptionally refined vehicle for the segment, with a well-executed ride and handling balance that should make it easy to count on day to day.

Honda’s first scheduled maintenance visit is on the house, which helps soften early ownership costs. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright durability and more about living with the CVT’s character and the model’s higher purchase price.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Honda CR-V?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The EX-L stands out with leather-wrapped seats, steering wheel, and shift knob, plus a larger touchscreen, a power-adjustable front passenger’s seat, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a power rear liftgate, and front and rear parking sensors. Lower grades use cloth upholstery and a smaller touchscreen, while some B trims omit blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.
• Powertrain: Gas-only models use a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 190 horsepower and 179 lb-ft of torque, paired with a CVT and front- or all-wheel drive. It delivers strong everyday performance, but the transmission can drone under hard acceleration.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing includes adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centring assist, automatic high-beam headlights, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, a seatbelt reminder system, rear-seat reminder system, driver monitoring system, traffic sign recognition, and Traffic Jam Assist. Some B trims lose blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.
• Infotainment: Most trims get a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The EX-L upgrades to a 9-inch display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, wireless charging, and an upgraded eight-speaker sound system. The top Touring Hybrid is needed for the Bose premium audio system and navigation with real-time traffic.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada says the test vehicle should see 8.4 L/100 km in combined driving, and the evaluation route returned 8.1 L/100 km.

Which 2023 Honda CR-V trim should I buy?

The 2023 Honda CR-V is offered in 4 trim levels: LX-B, Sport, EX-L, Touring Hybrid.

Here's the short version:

• LX-B: This is the entry point if you want the lowest starting price, but it comes with the most basic equipment and some B-series versions omit blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. It makes sense if you want the CR-V’s core space and comfort without paying for extras.
• Sport: This trim adds more equipment than the LX-B and sits in the middle of the range, but the available B version can still delete blind spot monitoring. It is a sensible step up if you want a better-equipped CR-V without going all the way to the EX-L.
• EX-L: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it brings the larger 9-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging, leather upholstery, a power rear liftgate, and parking sensors. If you want the most complete mix of comfort and technology without stretching to the top trim, this is the one to target.
• Touring Hybrid: This is the top trim and the only hybrid offered in Canada, with the most advanced audio and navigation setup. It suits you if you want the most equipment and are specifically shopping for the hybrid powertrain.

Honda Sensing is standard, but some B trims omit blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Honda CR-V?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it pays to compare listings carefully and move quickly on the right example.

• Deal availability: 28.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 936 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.61% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $32,517 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Honda CR-V's resale value?

The current average of $32,536 CAD sits slightly below last year's $36,398 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, it means you should expect value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment rather than on broad market momentum alone.

The CR-V’s strong reputation for comfort, utility, and owner satisfaction should still support demand over time. Well-equipped trims with the right features are likely to hold attention better than bare-bones examples.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.71/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Honda CR-V safe?

The 2023 Honda CR-V earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS, its highest ranking.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard and includes adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centring assist, automatic high-beam headlights, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, a seatbelt reminder system, rear-seat reminder system, driver monitoring system, traffic sign recognition, and Traffic Jam Assist. Some B trims omit blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.

The main caveat is that lane-centring assist can feel uncertain in some highway transitions and can add artificial weight to the steering. That does not erase the CR-V’s strong safety case, but it is worth knowing if you plan to rely on the system often.

Should I buy a 2023 Honda CR-V or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 28.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.61% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.71/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2023 brings a redesigned cabin, new infotainment systems, added safety features, and the first Canadian hybrid availability for the CR-V.

The bottom line: The 2023 CR-V is the right pick if you want the redesigned model with better tech, strong comfort, and broad appeal in a practical compact SUV. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2023 is the better all-around choice if you want the newer package and can find a well-priced example.
