The 2023 Genesis G70 appears to offer everything you could want in a small luxury sedan.
Hyundai’s Genesis luxury brand is getting up to speed quickly. Just six years after its debut Genesis now has a fairly complete lineup of sedans and SUVs pitched against the more established German, Japanese, and American brands. Those brands all feature small sport sedans, and the 2023 G70 checks that box for Genesis.
The G70 was launched for the 2019 model year, and got a major update for 2022 that included a restyling to bring it in line with other current Genesis models. With that taken care of, the 2023 Genesis G70 carries over unchanged. It remains the Genesis entry-level sedan, competing against the likes of the Acura TLX, Audi A4, BMW 3 Series, Cadillac CT4, Infiniti Q50, Lexus IS, and Mercedes-Benz C-Class.
Genesis offers the choice of 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder (badged 2.0T) and 3.3-litre twin-turbocharged V6 (3.3T) powertrains, with standard all-wheel drive (AWD) in Canada (rear-wheel drive (RWD) is offered in the United States but not in our market). Four-cylinder models are available in Select, Advanced, and Prestige trim levels, while V6 models start at Advanced and top out with the Sport trim level. Our test car was a 3.3T Sport with all the bells and whistles.

This is the Sport Prestige package and my lord is it amazing. The interior is comfy, looks nice and the features suit my needs. The Siberian ice is stunning with its aftermarket wheels. I was considering this, a ct4v blackwing, is500 or the new scat pack and I just felt this car is of better value.

It has every option that is needed. The car has great value compared to other luxury vehicles. It’s a step above an 4 series BMW and Audi A 6 and 7.

have the car for 3 days. So far its been amazing. Handles like a sports car, really good pickup and the creature amenties are very very well done!
