Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Genesis G70?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient.

• Deal availability: 28.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 52 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.87% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $26,478 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Genesis G70's resale value?

The current average of $26,754 CAD sits slightly below last year's $31,427 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more attractive level today, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays subdued. If you plan to sell later, buying near the lower end of the range can help protect your position. Strong condition and documented maintenance will matter more when the market is already pricing in depreciation.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 Genesis G70 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 28.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.87% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $31,083 CAD, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $26,754 CAD average.
• The 2022 adds refreshed styling, improved infotainment, and Highway Driving Assist.

The bottom line: The 2021 is the better value if you want a lower entry price and a market with some deal availability. If you want newer features and can stretch your budget, the 2022 is the stronger upgrade path. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2021 is the smarter starting point.
