Used 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer for Sale nearBarrie, ON

How much does the 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer cost?

Prices have softened 11.77% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 296 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer earns a 4.91/5 user rating and an 8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its features, comfort, and driving dynamics, along with the heated seats, safety technology, and spaciousness. In practical terms, that lines up well with its role as a small, affordable, entry-level SUV that aims to deliver everyday usability without feeling bare-bones.

The trade-offs are clear: the transmission can be irritating, and fuel economy is poor. Even so, the Trailblazer’s stylish design and excellent value for money help it make sense if you want a well-equipped subcompact crossover rather than a performance-focused one.

There are 28.7% good or great deals in the market, which points to decent shopping opportunities.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer reliable?

Owners rate it 4.91/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owners describe it as dependable and appreciate that it feels comfortable and functional for everyday use. The Trailblazer also comes across as a vehicle you can count on for regular commuting and family duties, especially if you value a practical cabin and easy ownership experience.

Its performance tuning supports that impression, with a composed road feel and a setup that works well for normal driving. Chevy also includes a three-year, 60,000-kilometre bumper-to-bumper warranty and a five-year, 100,000-kilometre powertrain warranty, which adds some reassurance for used buyers.

For used shoppers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the transmission behaviour and fuel economy may remain ongoing annoyances rather than one-time issues.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LS is the most basic version, while the LT, Activ, and RS add more equipment and personality. The base trim misses some of the more appealing appearance and convenience touches, so you should compare feature content carefully if you want a better-equipped cabin.
• Powertrain: You get a 1.2-litre turbocharged three-cylinder with 137 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque, or an optional 1.3-litre turbo-three with 155 hp and 174 lb-ft. Front-wheel drive models use a CVT, while all-wheel drive models use a nine-speed automatic.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, and Teen Driver. Optional features include blind-spot monitoring with lane-change assist, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control.
• Infotainment: The standard setup uses a 7-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM, Bluetooth, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. An 8-inch touchscreen, 4.2-inch instrument cluster screen, navigation, Bose audio, rear-seat USB ports, and wireless charging are optional.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada rates the Trailblazer at 8.0 L/100 km city, 7.6 highway, and 7.8 combined for 1.2-litre FWD models, 8.1 city, 7.2 highway, and 7.7 combined for 1.3-litre FWD models, and 8.9 city, 7.8 highway, and 8.4 combined for 1.3-litre AWD models.

Which 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer trim should I buy?

The 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer is offered in 4 trim levels: LS, LT, Activ, and RS.

Here's the short version:

• LS: This is the entry point, and it makes sense if you want the Trailblazer’s core value proposition at the lowest price. It is the only trim tied to the smaller engine and front-wheel drive, so it suits you best if affordability matters more than extra equipment.
• LT: This is the best-value choice for most shoppers because it opens the door to the 1.3-litre engine and all-wheel drive while staying below the more expensive lifestyle-oriented trims. If you want the most balanced mix of price, capability, and equipment, start here.
• Activ: This trim leans into a more rugged look with a unique front fascia, faux skid plate, roof rails, and chunky all-terrain-style tyres. It suits you if you want the Trailblazer’s most distinctive outdoorsy appearance and a slightly different driving character.
• RS: This is the style-forward choice, with blacked-out trim, a mesh grille, dual exhaust outlets, and an available panoramic sunroof. Pick it if you want the sportiest appearance and the most visual flair.

The safety package is strong overall, but some advanced driver-assistance features remain optional rather than standard.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory to compare options and enough deal activity to reward patience.

• Deal availability: 28.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 296 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.77% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $23,968 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer's resale value?

The current average of $24,243 CAD sits slightly below last year's $27,476 CAD.

That decline suggests the Trailblazer has become more accessible for used buyers, which can make it easier for future sellers to attract attention if they price competitively. A softer market today can also mean you may need to be more realistic about resale expectations later.

At the same time, the Trailblazer’s strong value story and broad appeal should help it remain relevant with shoppers looking for a practical small SUV. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.91/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer safe?

The 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer was named a 2022 Top Safety Pick+ by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) gave it a five-star overall safety rating, with five stars in the frontal and side crash-test categories, and four stars in rollover crash testing.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety features include forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, and Teen Driver. Optional driver-assistance features include blind-spot monitoring with lane-change assist, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control.

One caveat is that the standard halogen headlights were only rated “Average” by IIHS, while the optional LED headlights scored better.

Should I buy a 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 28.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.77% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.91/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds new extra-cost paint colours and a roof option while keeping the Trailblazer’s value-focused formula intact.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $21,847 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $24,243 CAD average.
• It adds a heated steering wheel and new paint choices.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $26,134 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $24,243 CAD average.
• It improves passenger space, cargo capacity, and overall ease of use.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, features, and current market availability, the 2023 is the smart middle ground. If your priority is saving money, the 2022 is the better value play; if you want a more polished and spacious package, the 2024 is worth the extra spend.
