The current range still suggests healthy demand for well-priced examples, especially if they’re equipped with desirable towing and convenience features. Strong condition and the right configuration should matter more when you eventually sell.

Should I buy a 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 29.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.95% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $68,200 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $61,096 CAD average.
• It adds a refreshed look and a new off-road trim.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the better value if you want strong capability and a lower entry price, while the 2024 makes sense if you want the newer styling and can stretch your budget. If price matters most, the 2023 is the smarter starting point; if you want the latest update, look to the 2024.
