Used 2023 Chevrolet Equinox for Sale near Thornhill, ON

How much does the 2023 Chevrolet Equinox cost?

Prices have softened 12.39% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 530 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Equinox a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Chevrolet Equinox earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 7/10 across Form and function, Cost effectiveness, and Technology.

It fits your needs best if you want a straightforward compact SUV with a comfortable ride, easy-to-use technology, and strong value for money. The trade-offs are clear: performance is fairly pedestrian, and the transmission can be irritating.

With 34.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, you may find some attractive pricing if you shop carefully.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Equinox reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2023 Equinox is presented as a practical, proven compact crossover with a comfort-first character, and its updated braking system adds a bit of polish to the driving experience. The 1.5-litre turbocharged engine is the only powertrain, and it delivers adequate low-speed response for city use.

Its straightforward layout and easy-to-use controls also support low-stress ownership. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the powertrain and cabin feel dated compared with newer rivals, so condition and maintenance history matter.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Chevrolet Equinox?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LS, LT, RS, and Premier each bring different equipment levels. Heated front seats are standard on all trims, but the heated steering wheel is not available on the base LS and becomes standard on Premier. If you want the most complete comfort and convenience setup, the higher trims are the ones to focus on.
• Powertrain: You get a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 175 hp and 203 lb-ft of torque. It is fine for city driving, but it is not especially quick, and the six-speed automatic can contribute to a noisy, less refined feel.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert with pedestrian detection and braking, lane-keeping assistance, lane-departure warning, and automatic high beams. Blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are extra-cost options on every trim but Premier.
• Infotainment: The LS, LT, and RS use a 7-inch touchscreen, while Premier gets an 8-inch unit. All trims include wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto, plus Bluetooth and a Wi-Fi hotspot with an OnStar subscription. The system is simple and easy to use, which is a strength if you value clarity over flash.
• Fuel efficiency: AWD models should return 9.9 L/100 km in the city, 7.9 on the highway, and 9.0 combined. FWD models are rated at 8.9 city, 7.7 highway, and 8.4 combined.

Which 2023 Chevrolet Equinox trim should I buy?

The 2023 Chevrolet Equinox is offered in 4 trim levels: LS, LT, RS, and Premier.

Here's the short version:

• LS: This is the entry point, and it makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the Equinox lineup. You still get standard heated front seats and the core safety and infotainment basics, but you miss out on some of the nicer comfort touches available higher up.
• LT: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds useful everyday upgrades without pushing you all the way to the top of the range. It is the trim to target if you want a balanced mix of equipment and price.
• RS: Choose this if you want a more distinctive look and a better-equipped feel than the lower trims. It also brings the upgraded driver-information display and can be optioned with more convenience features.
• Premier: This is the most upscale choice, with the 8-inch touchscreen, standard heated steering wheel, and the most complete comfort setup. It suits you best if you want the most polished Equinox experience.

Blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are extra-cost options on every trim but Premier.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Chevrolet Equinox?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right listing.

• Deal availability: 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 530 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.39% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $24,921 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Chevrolet Equinox's resale value?

The current average of $24,994 CAD sits slightly below last year's $28,527 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the Equinox is currently in a buyer-friendly phase, which can make it harder for a future seller to command top dollar right away. If you buy at the right price now, you may have less depreciation pressure than someone who paid closer to the previous year’s average.

The model’s practical appeal and broad market familiarity should help it remain easy to shop and resell. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Equinox safe?

The 2023 Chevrolet Equinox earns five-star ratings overall from NHTSA, but it also received a Poor rating in the IIHS moderate overlap front crash test and a Marginal score in the IIHS side-impact crash test.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert with pedestrian detection and braking, lane-keeping assistance, lane-departure warning, and automatic high beams. Blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are extra-cost options on every trim but Premier.

Those IIHS results are the main caution point for used buyers, especially if safety performance is a top priority.

Should I buy a 2023 Chevrolet Equinox or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.39% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds extra engine power, a more sophisticated braking system, and new paint colours.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $22,498 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $24,994 CAD average.
• It was updated enough to stay relevant while still offering a proven formula.

The bottom line: If you want the better-balanced pick, the 2023 is the stronger choice thanks to its updates, lower current pricing, and solid value. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2022 is the sensible alternative, especially if you find one in good condition with the equipment you want.
