Is the 2022 RAM 3500 a good car?

Yes — the 4.9/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its powerful performance, towing capability, spacious interior, and the practical RAM Box feature. The truck’s comfort and feature content also stand out, which fits well if you want a heavy-duty pickup that can handle real work without feeling stripped down in daily use. Is the 2022 RAM 3500 reliable?

The owner feedback also points to a truck that feels dependable in the ways that matter most to heavy-duty buyers, especially when it comes to capability and day-to-day usefulness. At the same time, some reviewers mention mixed feelings about transmission reliability, so you should pay close attention to service records and how the truck has been used. For used buyers, that means the long-term ownership risk is more about individual maintenance history than the model’s overall reputation.

The current average of $62,804 CAD sits slightly below last year's $68,418 CAD.

That softer pricing can be a plus if you buy now, because you may be entering at a more favourable point in the cycle. For a future seller, though, it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the truck has been maintained. Strong demand for capable heavy-duty trucks can help support values, but the market will still reward clean examples with good documentation.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 RAM 3500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 31.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.20% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2022 is a strong choice if you want a heavy-duty truck with a well-liked cabin, strong owner approval, and a market that has eased enough to create some buying opportunities. If you are especially price-sensitive, it is still worth comparing nearby years, but the 2022 looks like the better pick when you want a balance of value, demand, and owner satisfaction.
