How much does the 2022 RAM 2500 cost?

Prices have softened 10.46% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

Is the 2022 RAM 2500 a good car?

Yes — the 2022 RAM 2500 earns a 4.81/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its power, comfortable ride, and excellent interior features, and many also value its towing capability and reliability. For you, that means it fits especially well if you want a heavy-duty truck that can handle work duties while still feeling comfortable for everyday use. With 29.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, there are still some attractive opportunities in the market.

Is the 2022 RAM 2500 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.81/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also highlights reliability, with many drivers describing it as dependable and a truck they can count on for work or leisure. That kind of praise matters if you plan to keep your used truck for the long haul, because it suggests fewer ownership worries than you might expect from a heavy-duty pickup. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is paying too much for a diesel-equipped truck if you do not need its extra capability.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 RAM 2500?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy if you shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 322 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.46% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $56,252 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 RAM 2500's resale value?

The current average of $57,016 CAD sits slightly below last year's $63,679 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make the truck easier to buy now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you purchase at today’s average, your future resale value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the truck has been maintained. Because the model still has strong demand from shoppers who want serious capability and a refined cabin, well-kept examples should remain easier to move than neglected ones.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.81/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 RAM 2500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.46% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.81/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $67,859 CAD, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $57,016 CAD average.
• It adds a more off-road-focused Rebel variant.

The bottom line:
The 2022 is the better value if you want strong capability, high owner satisfaction, and a lower entry price. If you are price-sensitive, the 2022 is the smarter starting point; if you want the newer year and are willing to pay more, the 2023 may be worth a look.
