How much does the 2022 Porsche 911 cost?

Prices have softened 5.61% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 84 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Porsche 911 a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Porsche 911 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.7/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

Owners consistently praise its exceptional performance, handling, and stylish design, along with the high-quality interior materials and strong power delivery. It also stands out as a car that feels exciting without giving up everyday usability, which fits its role as a sports car you can still live with. The main trade-offs are limited cargo space and poor value for money, and advanced safety features are not standard.

With its broad appeal as a stylish, rewarding, and comfortable sports car, it should suit you if you want performance without making daily driving a chore. There are 29.8% good or great deals in the market, which suggests some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Porsche 911 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers describe it as dependable, trouble-free, and a car they can count on for both spirited driving and everyday use. The 911’s performance is also presented as well-mannered and easy to drive conservatively, which supports the sense that it is built for long-term enjoyment rather than constant fuss. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is less about outright reliability and more about the cost of keeping an expensive sports car in top shape.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Porsche 911?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Carrera gives you the core 911 experience, while the broader lineup adds more power and capability as you move up. The base trim already includes forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, and lane-keep assist, but advanced safety features are not standard across the model.
• Powertrain: The 911 uses a rear-mounted horizontally opposed six-cylinder boxer engine, and the base Carrera makes 379 horsepower. An eight-speed dual-clutch transmission is offered on almost all 911 models, while a seven-speed manual is available on S and GTS models.
• Safety package: Forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, and lane-keep assist are standard on the base Carrera. The optional Premium package adds adaptive headlights and a surround-view camera system, while night vision and an integrated dash cam are also available.
• Infotainment: The touchscreen sits lower than in many vehicles, Apple CarPlay is wireless, and Android Auto still requires a USB cable. The base audio system may disappoint, so the optional Bose system is worth considering if sound quality matters to you.
• Fuel efficiency: The PDK transmission can improve fuel efficiency, though no specific consumption figure is stated.

Which 2022 Porsche 911 trim should I buy?

The 2022 Porsche 911 is offered in 10 trim levels: Carrera, Carrera 4, Carrera 4 Cabriolet, 911 Targa 4, Carrera S, Carrera 4S, Carrera 4S Cabriolet, Carrera GTS, Carrera 4 GTS, Turbo, Turbo S, GT3.

Here's the short version:

• Carrera: This is the best-value starting point if you want the classic 911 formula without paying for extra power you may not need. It already delivers 379 horsepower, strong everyday drivability, and the core driver-focused character that defines the model.
• Carrera S: This is the smart step-up if you want more performance while staying within the more approachable side of the lineup. It adds 443 horsepower and still keeps the 911 easy to live with, making it a strong choice if you want a more rewarding drive without jumping into the pricier upper trims.
• Carrera GTS: This is the pick if you want a more serious performance edge and are willing to pay for it. It brings 473 horsepower, Sport drive modes, and a sport exhaust system, but it makes the most sense if you plan to enjoy the extra capability regularly.

The base Carrera and Carrera S are the trims most likely to satisfy the vast majority of drivers, while the higher-performance models are better suited to buyers who will actually use their extra capability.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Porsche 911?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it makes sense to compare listings carefully and move quickly on strong examples.

• Deal availability: 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 84 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.61% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $231,231 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Porsche 911's resale value?

The current average of $235,477 CAD sits slightly below last year's $249,464 CAD.

That softer pricing trend suggests the market has become a bit more favourable for buyers, which can also mean future sellers may need to be realistic on asking price. Because the 911 still carries strong desirability and a premium image, well-kept examples should remain easier to move than many other sports cars. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Porsche 911 safe?

The 2022 Porsche 911 has not been evaluated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) or the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), which isn’t unusual for high-end luxury vehicles.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, and lane-keep assist are standard on the base Carrera. The optional Premium package adds adaptive headlights and a surround-view camera system, while night vision and an integrated dash cam are also available. Compared with conventional sedans and SUVs, the 911 offers very few safety features, and that scarcity is typical of sports cars.

Should I buy a 2022 Porsche 911 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.61% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It balances approachable performance with everyday drivability.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $264,893 CAD, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $235,477 CAD average.
• It adds several new variants, broadening the lineup.

The bottom line: Choose the 2022 if you want the stronger value proposition and a well-rounded 911 experience. If you are price-sensitive, the 2022 is the better path; if you want the broader trim and variant mix, the 2023 is worth a look.

How does the 2022 Porsche 911 compare to the 2022 Chevrolet Corvette?

Our experts score the 2022 Porsche 911 7.7/10 and the 2022 Chevrolet Corvette 8.2/10. The 911 is the more refined all-rounder, with stronger everyday usability and a more premium interior feel. The Corvette offers better value and a stronger deal share, but the 911 remains the more polished choice if you care about comfort and long-term appeal.
