Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Nissan Kicks?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Inventory: There are 327 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.92% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $18,311 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Nissan Kicks's resale value?

The current average of $18,811 CAD sits slightly below last year's $21,117 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Kicks has become more accessible for buyers, but it also means future sellers may face a softer resale environment than they would have a year ago. If you buy now, the lower entry price can help offset some depreciation risk. The model’s value-focused reputation should still support steady demand among shoppers who prioritise efficiency and practicality. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Nissan Kicks or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.92% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $17,351 CAD, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $18,811 CAD average.
• It adds more features while keeping the same easygoing appeal.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2022 if you want the stronger current-market mix of owner satisfaction, inventory, and softened pricing. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2021 is the better value-oriented alternative.
