What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The coupe body style is the main differentiator here, and the cabin presentation is a major part of the appeal. Look for the high-end materials and dual-screen layout, and note that the base setup does not include every luxury touch you may see on better-equipped examples.
• Powertrain: The AMG GLE 53 Coupe uses a turbocharged 3.0-litre inline-6 with EQ Boost, a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. It is tuned for strong acceleration and includes a SpeedShift nine-speed automatic transmission.
• Safety package: The Intelligent Drive Package adds 13 driver-assistance and collision-avoidance systems. Standard safety equipment includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, forward automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring and Pre Safe Sound.
• Infotainment: MBUX uses dual 12.3-inch screens, and standard features include navigation, satellite radio, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Mercedes Me connected services. Wireless smartphone charging is optional.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada says the test vehicle should have consumed 12.5 L/100 km in combined driving, and the test result was 12.7 L/100 km.
