Used 2022 Kia Forte for Sale nearBurlington, ON

How much does the 2022 Kia Forte cost?

Prices have softened 12.74% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 396 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Kia Forte a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Kia Forte earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.83/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Form and function and Technology.

The Forte is positioned as a compact sedan that gives you a lot of modern equipment without pushing into a higher price bracket. It is described as spacious, and its technology is a clear strength, which makes it a practical daily driver if you want a lot of features for the money.

The main trade-offs are an underwhelming base engine and a noisy cabin, especially in stronger trims. Even so, the value proposition remains strong for budget-conscious shoppers who want a well-equipped compact sedan.

With 33.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still looks reasonably favourable if you shop carefully.

Is the 2022 Kia Forte reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Forte is presented as a value-focused compact sedan with a five-year/100,000-kilometre warranty and roadside assistance, which helps support ownership confidence. Its standard powertrain is described as modest, but the car is also framed as a practical daily driver with strong equipment content for the money.

Kia Canada also includes a five-year/100,000-kilometre powertrain warranty, which adds another layer of reassurance for used buyers. For long-term ownership, the biggest risk is that a well-used example may still feel underpowered or noisy if it has been driven hard.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Kia Forte?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LX is the bare-bones version and comes with no standard safety technology, while higher trims add much more equipment. The GT-Line brings a sportier look without sporty driving characteristics, and the GT Limited is the most fun and the most fully equipped.
• Powertrain: Most trims use a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine with 147 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque. The LX gets a six-speed manual standard, while a CVT is optional on LX and standard on the other non-GT Limited trims. The GT Limited uses a turbocharged 1.6-litre four-cylinder with 201 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic.
• Safety package: Most trims include forward-collision avoidance with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centring assist, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and a driver monitoring system. Adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability and Highway Driving Assist are available depending on trim, while the LX misses standard safety technology.
• Infotainment: The EX Premium or lower gets an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. GT-Line and GT Limited use a 10.25-inch touchscreen, but CarPlay and Android Auto are wired on those trims. The larger screen also adds SiriusXM, voice recognition, and Kia Connect connected services.
• Fuel efficiency: The 2.0-litre engine is rated at 7.6 L/100 km with the manual transmission and 7.0 L/100 km with the CVT. The LX is also noted as capable of fuel efficiency as low as 5.9 L/100 km on the highway.

Which 2022 Kia Forte trim should I buy?

The 2022 Kia Forte is offered in 6 trim levels: LX, EX, EX+, EX Premium, GT-Line, and GT Limited.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the cheapest way into the Forte, but it is also the most stripped-down. You get the manual transmission standard, but you should only choose it if price matters more than equipment.
• EX: This is a sensible step up if you want more comfort and convenience without jumping to the sportier trims. It sits in the middle of the range and should suit you if you want a balanced daily driver.
• EX+: This is the best-value trim because it gives you everything you need, and nothing you don’t. It also gets brighter LED headlights, which makes it a smarter pick than the lower trims.
• EX Premium: Choose this if wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto matter to you. It keeps the 8-inch touchscreen and adds the connectivity most shoppers will want.
• GT-Line: This trim adds a sportier look, plus the larger 10.25-inch touchscreen and more connected features. It is a good choice if you want style and tech, but not the full GT Limited price.
• GT Limited: This is the one to buy if you want the most fun, the most power, and the most exclusive features. It also gets the sport-tuned suspension, larger 18-inch wheels, and the strongest overall personality in the lineup.

The LX lacks standard safety technology, so most shoppers should move up from it unless budget is the only priority.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Kia Forte?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 33.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 396 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.74% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $18,425 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Kia Forte's resale value?

The current average of $18,443 CAD sits slightly below last year's $21,136 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the Forte is currently more buyer-friendly than seller-friendly. If you own one and plan to sell later, the current market indicates you may need to price competitively to move it quickly.

The Forte’s strong value positioning should still help it attract shoppers who want a well-equipped compact sedan without paying new-car money. If demand stays steady for affordable, feature-rich cars, that should support resale interest over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Kia Forte safe?

The 2022 Kia Forte earns a four-star overall crash protection rating from NHTSA.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

The Forte’s safety equipment is broad on most trims, with forward-collision avoidance with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centring assist, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and a driver monitoring system. Adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability and Highway Driving Assist are available on some trims, and Kia’s Highway Driving Assist is described as exceptionally well executed.

The main caveat is that the LX trim has no standard safety technology, and the NHTSA result is not especially strong. The IIHS also has incomplete testing because revised LED headlights have not yet been fully assessed.

Should I buy a 2022 Kia Forte or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 33.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.74% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It brings sharper styling plus updated infotainment and driver-assist tech.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $20,550 CAD, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $18,443 CAD average.
• It is a more rounded all-around choice with strong value and a manual transmission available.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the better pick if you want the lower price and the updated tech package. If you are willing to spend more for a newer model year, the 2023 is the safer choice for shoppers who want a slightly more polished all-around compact sedan.
