There are 333 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Jeep Cherokee a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Jeep Cherokee earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its strong performance, comfortable ride, and desirable features, and many also like its responsive handling and classic style. In practical terms, that makes it a good fit if you want a compact SUV with Jeep character, all-weather traction appeal, and a more feature-rich setup than earlier versions of this generation. With 32.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Jeep Cherokee reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also leans toward dependable day-to-day use, with reviews focusing on a trouble-free ownership experience and the kind of long-term confidence that matters when you plan to keep a used SUV for years. That said, you should still approach any used example carefully, because long-term ownership risk can rise if prior maintenance was inconsistent or if the vehicle has been driven hard.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Jeep Cherokee?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can afford to compare listings carefully before committing.

• Deal availability: 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 333 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.20% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $26,143 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Jeep Cherokee's resale value?

The current average of $26,146 CAD sits slightly below last year's $31,963 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Cherokee has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means a future seller may face a softer market than owners saw a year ago. If you buy at today’s average, your resale position will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained. A well-kept example should still hold appeal because shoppers continue to value the Cherokee’s distinctive styling and Jeep identity.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Jeep Cherokee or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.20% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the better pick if you want a Cherokee with a stronger feature set, a more complete standard equipment list, and a market that currently gives you some negotiating room. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may still be worth considering, but the 2022 stands out as the more compelling balance of features and current value.
