There are 336 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2022 Jeep Cherokee a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Jeep Cherokee earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its strong performance, comfortable ride, responsive handling, and classic style. That makes it a sensible choice if you want a used SUV with Jeep character, everyday comfort, and a more distinctive look than a generic compact crossover. With 29.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2022 Jeep Cherokee reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also leans toward dependable day-to-day use, with reviews focusing on a trouble-free ownership experience and the kind of long-term confidence shoppers want in a used SUV. Even so, you should still approach any used example with care, because transmission concerns have been part of this generation’s reputation. A thorough pre-purchase inspection matters if you want to reduce long-term ownership risk.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Jeep Cherokee?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 336 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.71% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $26,799 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Jeep Cherokee's resale value?

The current average of $26,799 CAD sits slightly below last year's $32,567 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Cherokee has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future resale stability if you buy at the right price. For a future seller, that means your biggest risk is overpaying today rather than facing a steep drop from here. Strong demand for well-liked trims and clean-condition examples should help support values, especially when the vehicle has the kind of owner satisfaction this one does.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Jeep Cherokee or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.71% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2022 Cherokee is the better pick if you want the strongest mix of value, owner satisfaction, and updated equipment in this part of the lineup. If your priority is stretching your budget further, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2022 stands out as the more appealing all-around choice for shoppers who want Jeep style and capability without paying top dollar.
