Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Honda Pilot?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can afford to compare listings carefully before committing.

• Inventory: There are 228 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.85% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $37,787 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Honda Pilot's resale value?

The current average of $38,014 CAD sits slightly below last year's $42,639 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently today. For a future seller, it also means resale value may be more sensitive to condition, mileage, and equipment than it would be in a rising market. If you keep the vehicle clean, well maintained, and lightly worn, you should be in a better position when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.83/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Honda Pilot or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 29.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.85% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.83/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $32,552 CAD, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $38,014 CAD average.
• It prioritises comfort, utility, and easygoing everyday driving.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $48,299 CAD, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $38,014 CAD average.
• It brings a redesigned look with more power and added convenience.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the best all-around pick if you want a well-liked, family-friendly Pilot at a more approachable price than the 2023. If your budget is tighter, the 2021 is the smarter value play, especially if you care most about comfort and practicality rather than the newer redesign.
