Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Honda Pilot?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 25.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 232 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.80% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $37,800 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Honda Pilot's resale value?

The current average of $37,976 CAD sits slightly below last year's $42,572 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Pilot has softened enough to improve your buying position today, but it also means future sellers may face a more competitive resale environment if prices stay under pressure. If you buy well now, you may have less downside risk than someone who paid closer to the prior-year average. Strong demand for roomy family SUVs can still help support values, especially when the vehicle is well kept.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.83/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Honda Pilot or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 25.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.80% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.83/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $32,179 CAD, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $37,976 CAD average.
• It prioritises utility, comfort, and everyday usefulness over flashy styling.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $48,064 CAD, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $37,976 CAD average.
• It brings a full redesign with a more rugged look and more thoughtful convenience items.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, owner satisfaction, and family-friendly practicality, the 2022 is the primary path to consider. If your budget is tighter and you can live with older styling, the 2021 is the better price-sensitive alternative.
