Used 2022 GMC Yukon for Sale nearGuelph, ON

How much does the 2022 GMC Yukon cost?

Prices have softened 8.31% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 133 listings available, which suggests you should have some room to compare trims and prices.

Is the 2022 GMC Yukon a good car?

Yes — the 2022 GMC Yukon earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, Technology, and Safety.

It fits you well if you want a full-size SUV that feels more upscale than a basic utility vehicle, with premium features, enhanced capability, and a distinctive design. For 2022, the standard 12-inch driver information centre and enhanced connectivity add to its appeal as a modern family hauler and long-distance cruiser.

The market also shows 27.8% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you a decent chance of finding a well-priced example.

Is the 2022 GMC Yukon reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Yukon’s redesign brings meaningful gains in space, comfort, and technology, and the available air-ride adaptive suspension helps improve ride quality and handling. Its powertrains also use direct injection and fuel-saving cylinder-deactivation technology, which supports everyday efficiency and refinement.

The diesel option adds another ownership advantage if you cover a lot of distance or tow regularly, since it can travel more than 1,000 kilometres on a tank. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that this is still a large, complex full-size SUV, so upkeep and running costs can be higher than on a smaller vehicle.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 GMC Yukon?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The SLE already brings a premium look, but the SLT, AT4, and Denali add more upscale materials and features. The SLE uses cloth seats, while the other trims get perforated leather; second-row captain’s chairs are available on the SLT and AT4 and standard on the Denali. If you want the most distinctive cabin, the Denali’s exclusive interior designs stand out, while the AT4 adds its own dark, off-road-flavoured styling.
• Powertrain: You can choose from a 5.3-litre V8, a 6.2-litre V8, or a 3.0-litre turbodiesel four-cylinder. The V8s use direct injection and cylinder deactivation, while the diesel is the efficiency play and is available on all trims except the AT4.
• Safety package: Every Yukon gets GMC Pro Safety, which includes automatic emergency braking with front pedestrian detection, forward-collision warning, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, following distance indicator, and automatic high-beam headlights. GMC Pro Safety Plus adds lane-change alert with blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear park assist; it is available on SLE and standard on SLT and above.
• Infotainment: The Yukon uses a 10.2-inch touchscreen with Google Built-In, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, a trial subscription to SiriusXM satellite radio, wireless phone charging on all but the SLE, and an available Wi-Fi hotspot. The 12-inch driver information centre is standard, and the 15-inch head-up display is standard on Denali and optional on AT4.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada figures put the V8 models at roughly 14 to 15 L/100 km combined, while diesel versions average just over 10 L/100 km combined. During testing, the Yukon recorded 16.3 L/100 km city, 12.7 L/100 km highway, and 14.7 L/100 km combined.

Which 2022 GMC Yukon trim should I buy?

The 2022 GMC Yukon is offered in 4 trim levels: SLE, SLT, AT4, and Denali.

Here's the short version:

• SLE: This is the entry point, but it still gives you the Yukon’s premium look and the core Pro Safety suite. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the lineup and are comfortable adding options selectively.
• SLT: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds a more upscale feel and unlocks more convenience and safety equipment, including GMC Pro Safety Plus as standard. If you want the sweet spot between price and equipment, start here.
• AT4: Choose this if you want the Yukon’s more rugged character, with unique front styling, a skid plate, red recovery hooks, and standard 4WD. It also suits you if you want the diesel option, since that engine is available here.
• Denali: This is the luxury-leaning choice, with standard 4WD, the 6.2-litre V8, heated and cooled front seats, exclusive interior designs, and the most premium presentation in the range.

If safety equipment matters most, note that GMC Pro Safety Plus is standard on SLT and above, while it is only available on SLE.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 GMC Yukon?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy without expecting deep discounts everywhere.

• Deal availability: 27.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 133 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.31% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $61,590 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 GMC Yukon's resale value?

The current average of $63,387 CAD sits slightly below last year's $69,132 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make the Yukon more attractive to buyers now but may also limit upside for a future seller. If you buy at the right price, you reduce the risk of taking a bigger depreciation hit later. Strong trim choice and condition will matter, especially in a market where shoppers can compare many listings.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 GMC Yukon safe?

The 2022 GMC Yukon earns four-star ratings in front crash protection and rollover resistance, and five-star ratings in side crash protection from NHTSA.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Every Yukon comes with GMC Pro Safety, which includes automatic emergency braking with front pedestrian detection, forward-collision warning, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, following distance indicator, and automatic high-beam headlights. GMC Pro Safety Plus adds lane-change alert with blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear park assist; it is available on SLE and standard on SLT and above.

One caveat is that the current-generation Yukon has not been tested by IIHS, so you do not get that additional crash-test benchmark here.

Should I buy a 2022 GMC Yukon or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 27.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.31% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds a standard 12-inch driver information centre and enhanced connectivity for the year.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $53,875 CAD, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $63,387 CAD average.
• It brings meaningful gains in space, comfort, and technology.

The bottom line: If you want the better-balanced buy, the 2022 is the stronger pick because it combines a softer market, strong owner satisfaction, and useful tech updates. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2021 is the better value path, especially if you can live with its earlier-spec equipment.
