Is the 2022 Ford F-350 Super Duty reliable?

Owners rate it 4.71/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback points to a truck that feels rugged, dependable, and well suited to hard use, especially when you need to count on it for towing and hauling. That kind of owner confidence matters for a heavy-duty pickup, where long-term ownership often depends on whether the truck can stay useful under demanding conditions. For used buyers, the main risk is less about the truck’s core toughness and more about finding one that has been maintained properly after a hard working life.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Ford F-350 Super Duty?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so it makes sense to shop carefully and move quickly when you find the right truck.

• Deal availability: 25.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 216 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.27% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $65,529 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Ford F-350 Super Duty's resale value?

The current average of $65,607 CAD sits slightly below last year's $68,533 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become a bit more favourable for buyers, but it can also mean future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. Because the truck still commands strong interest from shoppers who need heavy-duty capability, well-kept examples should remain easier to move than average. If you buy at the right price and keep the truck in good condition, you give yourself a better chance of preserving value later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.71/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Ford F-350 Super Duty or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 25.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.27% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.71/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a heavy-duty truck with strong owner approval and a market that has eased a bit from last year, the 2022 is a sensible place to focus. It makes the most sense if you value capability and want to shop from a decent pool of listings. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby model years and target whichever one gives you the best combination of condition, equipment, and asking price.
