Is the 2022 Ford F-150 a good car?

Yes — owners rate it 4.9/5, which is a strong signal that it delivers on what shoppers want. That makes it especially appealing if you want a truck that can be tailored to work, family use, or higher-end comfort. Is the 2022 Ford F-150 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also leans toward reliable, dependable ownership, with many drivers describing it as a truck they can count on over time. Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Ford F-150?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,401 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.35% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $41,414 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Ford F-150's resale value?

The current average of $41,414 CAD sits slightly below last year's $45,686 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favourable point, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, buying near the lower end of the range gives you more room to preserve value. Strong demand for well-equipped trucks should still help support resale, especially for examples with desirable trims and clean histories.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Ford F-150 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.35% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $36,479 CAD, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $41,414 CAD average.
• It adds a redesigned cabin with more tech and an available hybrid powertrain.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $49,083 CAD, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $41,414 CAD average.
• It adds the Raptor R and Heritage Edition for more performance and style.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the best all-around pick if you want strong owner satisfaction, broad choice, and a softer price than newer models. If your priority is saving money, the 2021 is the smarter value play; if you want the newest and most specialised versions, the 2023 is the better fit.
