Is the 2022 Dodge Durango reliable?

Owners rate it 4.86/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that many people find dependable in day-to-day use, especially for its strong performance and comfortable, spacious cabin. That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make the Durango easier to buy now but may also limit upside if you plan to sell soon. If you purchase at the right price and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you may be better positioned to protect value over time. The model’s broad appeal and strong owner satisfaction help support demand, even as prices have eased.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.86/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Dodge Durango or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 36.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.58% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.86/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $33,795 CAD, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $38,279 CAD average.
• It adds updated technology and a more practical family focus.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $42,672 CAD, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $38,279 CAD average.
• It adds standard heated front seats and a heated steering wheel.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the best fit if you want a balanced mix of value, strong owner satisfaction, and broad capability. If your priority is spending less, the 2021 is the smarter price-sensitive path; if you want newer features and can stretch your budget, the 2023 is the more premium choice.
