Used 2025 Dodge Durango for SaleNationwide

How much does the 2025 Dodge Durango cost?

Prices have softened 21.14% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 574 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Dodge Durango a good car?

The 2025 Dodge Durango earns a 7.2/10 from our experts.

The standout strength is Form and function at 9/10.

It remains a likable, if flawed, midsize three-row SUV that still stands out for strong performance, a roomy and comfortable interior, and a modern infotainment system. That makes it a fit if you want a practical family vehicle with a more muscular personality than many rivals.

The trade-offs are clear: fuel use is heavy, the safety feature set is basic, and crash-test performance is unimpressive. Even so, 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Dodge Durango reliable?

The Durango’s long-running design and familiar mechanical setup suggest a vehicle that has been thoroughly developed over time. Its final-year status also means you’re shopping a model that has already worked through a long production run.

The expert review notes that the Durango’s engineering dates back many years, and that its basic driving-assistance systems and crash-test results are not especially strong. On the positive side, the powertrain is described as delivering serious performance, and the cabin is presented as comfortable and practical for everyday use.

The review also notes that the first scheduled maintenance visit is on the house. For used buyers, the bigger long-term risk is that an older design can mean more compromise in safety, efficiency, and overall refinement as ownership stretches on.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Dodge Durango?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base GT brings a V6 and standard all-wheel drive, while higher trims add more power and more visual attitude. The review also notes that the Hellcat’s cabin is more subdued than its price might suggest, with some leftover plastic surfaces.
• Powertrain: You can shop the GT with a 295-horsepower 3.6-litre V6, the R/T with a 360-hp 5.7-litre V8, or the SRT Hellcat with a 710-hp supercharged 6.2-litre V8. All use an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard AWD in Canada.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors, lane-departure warning, and lane-keep assist. The package is short by modern standards.
• Infotainment: All 2025 Durangos have a Uconnect 5 system with a 10.1-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, native navigation, dual-phone Bluetooth pairing, and wireless smartphone charging.
• Fuel efficiency: The SRT Hellcat is rated at 20.5 L/100 km in the city, 13.8 L/100 km on the highway, and 17.4 L/100 km combined.

Which 2025 Dodge Durango trim should I buy?

The 2025 Dodge Durango is offered in 3 trim levels: GT, R/T, SRT Hellcat.

Here's the short version:

• GT: This is the value play if you want the Durango’s standard V6, AWD, and core family-friendly hardware without chasing the highest price.
• R/T: This is the best-value upgrade if you want more V8 character and stronger performance without jumping all the way to the Hellcat.
• SRT Hellcat: Choose this if you want the full performance experience, including the most powerful engine, performance hardware, and track-ready attitude.

The safety package is short by modern standards across the lineup.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Dodge Durango?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can afford to be picky.

• Deal availability: 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 574 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 21.14% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $48,147 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Dodge Durango's resale value?

The current average of $48,147 CAD sits slightly below last year's $61,052 CAD.

That drop suggests the market has moved in buyers’ favour, which can help you negotiate more confidently today. For a future seller, it also means you should expect softer resale conditions than a year ago if the broader trend continues. If you buy well now, you may reduce some of that depreciation pressure later.

Is the 2025 Dodge Durango safe?

The 2025 Dodge Durango earns a four-star overall rating from NHTSA and a three-star rollover resistance rating.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

The standard driver-assistance suite includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors, lane-departure warning, and lane-keep assist. The review also notes that the lane-departure warnings are unintrusive, though adaptive cruise control can reduce speed too much in curves.

The safety picture is held back by the Durango’s age and by weak crash-test performance in the small overlap frontal-impact test. That makes safety one of the main reasons to shop carefully if you’re considering a used example.

Should I buy a 2025 Dodge Durango or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 21.14% compared with last year.
• It’s the final-year Durango, with a trimmed lineup and the strongest sense of end-of-run urgency.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It keeps the Durango’s old-school feel while remaining one of the oldest new vehicles on sale.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of price leverage and final-year appeal, the 2025 is the smarter buy. If you’re mainly chasing the Durango’s old-school character and can wait, the 2026 keeps that formula alive, but price-sensitive buyers should focus on the 2025 while inventory and discounts are still working in their favour.
