Is the 2022 Dodge Challenger a good car?

Yes — 4.72/5 is a strong user rating for this model year. Owners consistently praise the fun-to-drive character, plenty of power, and the classic styling, while also highlighting the comfortable interior, quiet cabin, and plush seating. The Challenger’s five-passenger coupe layout and user-friendly Uconnect system make it a more practical choice than its muscle-car image might suggest. With 28.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have a decent chance of finding a competitive example.

Is the 2022 Dodge Challenger reliable?

Owners rate it 4.72/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a car that feels dependable in day-to-day use, with praise for its comfortable cabin and enjoyable driving experience. That kind of satisfaction usually matters most when you’re planning to keep a used car for the long haul, because it often reflects how well the vehicle fits real ownership needs. For used buyers, the main risk is less about the model’s appeal and more about finding one that has been cared for properly.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Dodge Challenger?

It’s a seller’s market, so you should act selectively and be ready to move when a strong listing appears.

• Deal availability: 28.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 160 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 4.96% year-over-year.

If you find a listing below $58,950 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Dodge Challenger's resale value?

The current average of $69,450 CAD sits slightly above last year's $66,166 CAD.

That upward move suggests the market has been willing to pay more for this model year, which is a positive sign if you plan to sell later. A tighter supply of appealing examples can help support values, especially when buyers are still drawn to the Challenger’s styling and performance image. If demand stays steady, well-kept examples should remain easier to move than average used coupes.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.72/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Dodge Challenger or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 28.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices are up 4.96% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.72/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $56,514 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $69,450 CAD average.
• It adds final-year “Last Call” special editions with limited-run exclusivity.

The bottom line: Choose the 2022 if you want the strongest mix of owner satisfaction, market momentum, and broad availability. If your priority is spending less, the 2023 is the better value path, especially if you want a later model year at a lower average price.
