Used 2022 Cadillac XT5 for Sale near Ontario

How much does the 2022 Cadillac XT5 cost?

Prices have softened 11.31% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 90 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Cadillac XT5 a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Cadillac XT5 earns a 4.8/5 user rating and a 6.67/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Performance at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, smooth performance, and spacious interior, and the V6 powertrain is a recurring highlight. That lines up well with the XT5’s role as a calm, upscale crossover for buyers who want a premium SUV with a polished road manner and a roomy cabin. It also gets a favourable market read, with 33.3% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2022 Cadillac XT5 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with comfort and smooth performance showing up as repeat strengths. The expert drive notes also support that impression, describing the V6 as linear and the nine-speed automatic as smooth and quick-shifting. Cadillac’s four-year, 80,000-kilometre bumper-to-bumper warranty and six-year, 110,000-kilometre powertrain coverage add some reassurance for used buyers.

For long-term ownership, the main risk is less about basic dependability and more about whether you’ll need to budget for higher running costs and option-package maintenance as the vehicle ages.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Cadillac XT5?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport trims differ in appearance and equipment. The base Luxury is the least flashy, while Premium Luxury adds more traditional Cadillac brightwork and the Sport gets darker trim, a mesh grille, and standard 20-inch wheels. If you want the most upscale feel, look closely at whether a car has the optional Platinum Package, since it adds semi-aniline leather upholstery, a leather-wrapped instrument panel and door trim, and a microfibre sueded headliner.
• Powertrain: You can choose between a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder and a 3.6-litre V6. The four-cylinder is standard on Luxury and Premium Luxury, while the V6 is standard on Sport and optional on Premium Luxury. Both use a nine-speed automatic, and the V6 is the better fit if you want stronger everyday passing power and a smoother-feeling drive.
• Safety package: Standard safety equipment includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, front and rear park assist, automatic high-beam headlamps, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, and the Safety Alert Seat. Optional upgrades include the Driver Assist Package with adaptive cruise control, enhanced automatic emergency braking, and rear automatic braking, plus available blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. The XT5 does not get Super Cruise.
• Infotainment: The standard setup uses an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, and a 4G LTE WiFi hotspot. An 8-inch digital instrument cluster display and a head-up display are available with the Technology Package.
• Fuel efficiency: The turbo-four is rated at 9.6 L/100 km combined with FWD and 10.1 L/100 km combined with AWD. The V6 is rated at 11.2 L/100 km combined.

Which 2022 Cadillac XT5 trim should I buy?

The 2022 Cadillac XT5 is offered in 3 trim levels: Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport.

Here's the short version:

• Luxury: This is the entry point, and it gives you the XT5’s core comfort and tech without the extra styling or equipment upgrades. It makes sense if you want the lowest starting price and are comfortable with the standard 2.0-litre turbo-four.
• Premium Luxury: This is the best-value choice for most shoppers because it adds a more traditional Cadillac look and can be paired with the V6. It also opens the door to the Platinum Package, which is where the XT5’s cabin and ride quality become much more convincing.
• Sport: Choose this if you want the V6 as standard and prefer the darker exterior treatment and 20-inch wheels. It is the most distinctive-looking trim, but it is not the best value unless those styling cues matter to you.

The safety package is strong across the lineup, but the optional Driver Assist Package and Technology Package add meaningful convenience and protection features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Cadillac XT5?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers: there is enough inventory to shop carefully, but the best-priced examples may move quickly.

• Deal availability: 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 90 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.31% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $32,385 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Cadillac XT5's resale value?

The current average of $32,536 CAD sits slightly below last year's $36,684 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the XT5 is currently more buyer-friendly than it was a year ago. For a future seller, that means you may face more competition when it comes time to list, especially if your vehicle lacks desirable options like the V6, Technology Package, or Platinum Package. Well-equipped examples should hold up better than base trims because they better match what used shoppers seem to want.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Cadillac XT5 safe?

The 2022 Cadillac XT5 received top “Good” scores in all Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) crash tests, and the top “Superior” rating for front-crash prevention tech when equipped with optional enhanced automatic emergency braking. It earns five-star ratings in frontal and side crash tests, and four-star ratings in rollover crash testing from NHTSA.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, front and rear park assist, automatic high-beam headlamps, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, and the Safety Alert Seat. The optional Driver Assist Package adds adaptive cruise control, enhanced automatic emergency braking, and rear automatic braking, while the Technology Package adds rear pedestrian alert, surround-vision camera system, night vision, and automatic parking assist.

One caveat is the XT5’s Marginal headlight rating and Acceptable LATCH child seat anchor ease-of-use result. It also does not offer Super Cruise.

Should I buy a 2022 Cadillac XT5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.31% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It keeps the V6, the updated Sport appearance changes, and the same comfort-focused character.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $30,445 CAD, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $32,536 CAD average.
• It offers a polished premium feel with a broad feature set.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $38,365 CAD, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $32,536 CAD average.
• It leans into value, comfort, and a roomy cabin.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the right pick if you want the XT5’s comfort-first formula with a favourable price trend and solid shopper interest. If you are price-sensitive, the 2021 is the smarter entry point; if you want to spend more for a newer example, the 2023 is the next step up.
