The A3 is described as a familiar, proven choice for the class, and its turbocharged 2.0-litre engine is paired with a seven-speed S tronic dual-clutch automatic transmission that is presented as a strength for quick shifting and efficiency. Audi also positions the car as having an interior designed to stand the test of time.

The first scheduled maintenance visit is on the house.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about outright complexity and more about making sure the car has been maintained properly, since premium features and all-wheel-drive hardware can be costly if neglected.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Audi A3?

Key things to evaluate:

• Inventory: There are 53 listings available.

What is the 2022 Audi A3's resale value?

The current average of $26,484 CAD sits slightly below last year's $30,546 CAD.

That softer pricing means future sellers may face a more competitive market if supply stays healthy and buyers continue to compare against newer alternatives. If you buy well now, you may have less downside risk than someone who purchased when prices were higher. The current range also suggests that clean, well-equipped examples should still hold reasonable appeal to luxury-car shoppers.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Audi A3 safe?

Available driver-assistance features include side assist blind-spot monitoring, Pre Sense Rear, Parking System Plus, Park Assist, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control with lane-centring.

Should I buy a 2022 Audi A3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 28.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.30% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It brings an all-new generation, standard Quattro all-wheel drive, and a premium compact-sedan feel that Audi has sharpened for this model year.

The bottom line: If you want the newest-feeling A3 with standard AWD and a more upscale cabin, the 2022 is the right path to focus on. If your priority is stretching your budget, a carefully chosen used example from this year can still make sense because prices have eased and there are enough listings to compare before you buy.
