The current average of $27,368 CAD sits slightly below last year's $29,175 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has eased, which can make the car more attractive to buyers now but may also mean future sellers need to price competitively. If you buy at a sensible number and keep the car in strong condition, you may be better positioned when it is time to resell. Demand should also be helped by the model’s strong owner satisfaction and broad appeal among EV shoppers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.61/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 Tesla Model 3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 27.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.19% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.61/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of owner satisfaction, current pricing, and available inventory, the 2021 is the year to focus on first. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby model years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the 2021’s stronger market position and broader appeal.
