Is the 2018 Tesla Model 3 a good car?

Yes — owners give it 4.9/5, which is a strong sign that it delivers on what shoppers want. It also fits well if you want a futuristic daily driver with strong everyday usability and a tech-forward feel. Is the 2018 Tesla Model 3 reliable?

The review summary points to a car that owners find dependable in the ways that matter most to them, especially when it comes to the overall driving experience and day-to-day enjoyment. The feedback also suggests it is a model people feel good about living with over time, even if some mention software subscriptions and occasional glitches. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk looks manageable, but you should still pay close attention to software behaviour and how the car has been maintained.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Tesla Model 3?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Deal availability: 39.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 120 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.57% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $19,595 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Tesla Model 3's resale value?

The current average of $21,476 CAD sits slightly below last year's $22,986 CAD.

That kind of price movement suggests the market has eased, which can be a mixed signal if you plan to sell later. On one hand, softer pricing can make the car easier to buy today; on the other, it can limit how aggressively you can price a future listing. Still, strong owner enthusiasm and the model's tech-forward appeal can help support demand when it is time to resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Tesla Model 3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 39.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.57% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the early Model 3 experience with strong owner approval, the 2018 is a solid place to start. If your priority is stretching your budget, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the best-priced examples rather than chasing a specific model year.
