Is the 2019 Tesla Model 3 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback also points to a dependable ownership experience, with drivers highlighting its smooth driving character and the kind of long-term appeal that comes from strong technology and comfort. The main caution is that some owners need time to adjust to its unusual features, and limited battery range when fully charged can affect how confidently you count on it for longer trips.

For used buyers, the long-term ownership risk is more about matching the car to your driving needs than worrying about broad reliability red flags.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Tesla Model 3?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 38.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 203 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.28% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $21,332 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Tesla Model 3's resale value?

The current average of $22,278 CAD sits slightly below last year's $24,029 CAD.

That softer pricing can work in your favour if you buy now, but it also means a future seller may need to be realistic about expectations if the market stays competitive. The current range suggests there is still healthy demand, yet the year-over-year decline shows buyers have become a bit more price sensitive. If you plan to resell later, buying near the lower end of the range can help protect your position.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Tesla Model 3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 38.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.28% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2019 is a strong choice if you want a well-liked used electric sedan with solid market availability and a softer price trend. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on whichever one gives you the best combination of listing price and deal quality.
