Is the 2021 Tesla Model 3 reliable?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you have room to shop, compare, and wait for the right listing.

• Deal availability: 26.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 462 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.28% compared with last year.

What is the 2021 Tesla Model 3's resale value?

The current average of $26,782 CAD sits slightly below last year's $28,884 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can be helpful if you're buying now but means a future sale may face more price pressure than it would have a year ago. If you plan to resell later, the current trend implies you should be realistic about depreciation and focus on buying well. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 Tesla Model 3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 26.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.28% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2021 Model 3 is the better pick if you want the strongest mix of owner satisfaction, updated tech, and a softer used-market price. If you're especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may still make sense, but the 2021 stands out as the more compelling all-around choice when you can find a well-priced example.
