Is the 2021 RAM 3500 a good car?

Yes — the 2021 RAM 3500 earns a 4.71/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its towing capability, its handling with heavy loads, and the spacious cab, while also noting that it feels more polished and comfortable than many heavy-duty trucks. That makes it a strong fit if you need a truck that can handle demanding jobs but still work well as an everyday vehicle. With 27.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2021 RAM 3500 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.71/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a truck that feels dependable in the ways that matter most for heavy-duty use, especially when it comes to towing and handling heavy loads. The repeated praise for its solid performance and comfortable ride suggests you can count on it for demanding work and regular use. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the specific truck you choose has been maintained properly, especially if it has spent much of its life doing hard-duty work.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 RAM 3500?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 27.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 214 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.98% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $53,493 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 RAM 3500's resale value?

The current average of $58,679 CAD sits slightly below last year's $61,755 CAD.

That softer pricing can work in your favour if you are buying now, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited unless the market tightens again. For a future seller, the current trend suggests you should expect value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment rather than broad market appreciation. Strongly equipped trucks with desirable features and clean histories should still attract attention, especially in a segment where capability matters.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.71/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 RAM 3500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 27.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.98% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.71/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a heavy-duty truck that blends serious capability with a more polished, tech-rich feel, the 2021 is the right year to focus on. It makes the most sense if you value towing strength, a spacious cab, and a market that still offers some deal opportunities. If your priority is simply finding the lowest entry price, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2021 remains the better all-around pick for most buyers.
