Used 2021 Nissan Rogue for Sale nearAjax, ON

How much does the 2021 Nissan Rogue cost?

Prices have softened 14.95% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 566 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 Nissan Rogue a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Nissan Rogue earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.83/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise the smooth and refined ride, roomy interior, and impressive features. They also highlight its attractive design and strong value for the price. In practical terms, that lines up well with a compact SUV that was redesigned from the top down, so you benefit from the new platform, fresh styling, and broader improvements across the range rather than only at the top trim.

The market also looks supportive, with 31.8% of listings priced as good or great deals.

Is the 2021 Nissan Rogue reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable in daily use, with a smooth, refined ride and a reputation for being easy to live with. The expert assessment also supports that impression by describing the Rogue as a well-rounded, practical compact SUV with broad improvements across the lineup.

Nissan’s warranty coverage adds some reassurance for used buyers, but you should still pay close attention to service history and overall condition, since long-term ownership risk always depends on how the vehicle was maintained.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Nissan Rogue?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base setup includes standard LED headlamps, LED daytime running lights, and a functional, well-organised cabin, but higher trims add more comfort and convenience equipment. The SV AWD with the Premium Package adds leatherette upholstery, heated rear seats, manual rear sunshades, and a power liftgate, while the Platinum brings a more upscale interior with semi-aniline quilted Nappa leather.
• Powertrain: You get a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine with 181 horsepower and 181 lb-ft of torque, paired with a CVT. There is no alternate powertrain, so every Rogue uses the same basic mechanical setup.
• Safety package: Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard on every Rogue and includes forward emergency braking with pedestrian detection, rear emergency braking, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, high beam assist, forward collision warning, and a driver alertness feature. ProPILOT Assist is added on the SV, and the Platinum adds Navi-link functionality.
• Infotainment: Most Rogues use an 8-inch touchscreen with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, hands-free text messaging, and SiriusXM satellite radio. The SV adds an in-car Wi-Fi hotspot, more USB ports, and NissanConnect services, while the Platinum upgrades to a 9-inch screen, wireless Apple CarPlay, and wireless charging.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada says the Rogue uses 8.9 L/100 km city, 7.0 highway, and 8.1 combined in front-wheel drive form, or 9.2 city, 7.2 highway, and 8.3 combined with all-wheel drive.

Which 2021 Nissan Rogue trim should I buy?

The 2021 Nissan Rogue is offered in 3 trim levels: S, SV, Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the value-focused starting point, and it already gives you the redesigned Rogue’s core strengths, including standard Safety Shield 360 and the 8-inch touchscreen. If you want the lowest entry price and can live without extra convenience features, this is the trim to start with.
• SV: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds meaningful everyday upgrades, including the available Wi-Fi hotspot, extra USB ports, NissanConnect services, and access to ProPILOT Assist. It also unlocks the Premium Package on AWD models, which adds several comfort features.
• Platinum: This is the most upscale choice, with standard AWD, a 9-inch screen, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless charging, a head-up display, and the Bose audio system. Choose it if you want the most premium Rogue experience.

Safety Shield 360 is standard across the lineup, while ProPILOT Assist arrives on the SV and Navi-link is reserved for the Platinum.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Nissan Rogue?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 31.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 566 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.95% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $21,431 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Nissan Rogue's resale value?

The current average of $21,433 CAD sits slightly below last year's $25,201 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Rogue easier to buy now but may also limit upside for a future seller. If you own one, the current pricing trend means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment level. Well-kept examples with desirable features should still attract interest, especially given the model’s strong owner satisfaction.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Nissan Rogue safe?

The 2021 Nissan Rogue received a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and a four-star overall rating from NHTSA, with earlier examples scoring three stars in frontal crash testing before later versions were upgraded to four stars.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard on every Rogue and includes forward emergency braking with pedestrian detection, rear emergency braking, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, high beam assist, forward collision warning, and a driver alertness feature. ProPILOT Assist is added on the SV, and the Platinum’s Navi-link system expands its highway-driving support.

Should I buy a 2021 Nissan Rogue or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 31.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.95% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The redesign brings a new platform, new engine, and broader improvements across the range.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $17,656 CAD, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $21,433 CAD average.
• It offers familiar comfort and practical everyday usability.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $22,681 CAD, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $21,433 CAD average.
• It adds a new turbocharged engine and stronger fuel efficiency.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of value, modern design, and broad feature content, the 2021 is the sweet spot. If your budget is tighter, the 2020 can still make sense, but you give up the redesign benefits. If you want the newer powertrain and can spend more, the 2022 is the upgrade path.
