The current average of $24,570 CAD sits slightly below last year's $28,613 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Sorento has become more accessible for buyers, but it also means future sellers may face a softer market than they would have a year ago. If you buy at the right price and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you can help protect your resale position. Demand should remain supported by the model’s family-friendly layout and broad appeal.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 Kia Sorento or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 34.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.13% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $27,666 CAD, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $24,570 CAD average.
• It adds hybrid and plug-in hybrid options.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2021 if you want the better value and a strong mix of space, comfort, and owner satisfaction. If you are price-sensitive, the 2021 is the smarter starting point; if you want newer electrified options, the 2022 is worth the extra money.
