Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Kia Forte?

This looks like a moderate buyer’s market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 37.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 297 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.85% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $16,303 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Kia Forte's resale value?

The current average of $16,372 CAD sits slightly below last year's $19,227 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favourable point in the cycle, but it also means future resale gains may be limited if prices stay under pressure. If you plan to sell later, the current market suggests you should focus on buying well and keeping the car in strong condition. A lower entry price can help offset depreciation, especially if demand stays steady.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 Kia Forte or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 37.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.85% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $18,443 CAD, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $16,372 CAD average.
• It adds sharper styling plus updated infotainment and driver-assist tech.

The bottom line: The 2021 is the better pick if you want the lower purchase price and a market with decent deal availability. If you are willing to spend more for newer styling and updated technology, the 2022 is the stronger alternative; otherwise, the 2021 offers the better value for price-sensitive buyers.
