Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Kia Forte?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on standout listings.

• Deal availability: 35.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 285 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.90% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $16,277 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Kia Forte's resale value?

The current average of $16,277 CAD sits slightly below last year's $19,126 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favourable point, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, the current trend suggests you should focus on condition, mileage, and service history to protect value. A lower entry price can help offset depreciation, but it also signals that the market is rewarding shoppers more than sellers right now.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 Kia Forte or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 35.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.90% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $18,390 CAD, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $16,277 CAD average.
• It adds sharper styling plus updated infotainment, driver assist, and collision avoidance systems.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2021 if you want the better value and a strong mix of owner satisfaction and market softness. If you want newer features and are willing to pay more, the 2022 is the better upgrade path; if price matters most, the 2021 is the smarter buy.
