Is the 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe a good car?

Yes — with a 5/5 user rating, the 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe comes across as a strong choice for you if you want a well-rounded family SUV. Drivers consistently praise its excellent value, comfort, and array of features, and many also like its smooth driving experience and fuel efficiency on the highway. That lines up well with its practical use case as a midsize SUV with useful space, three rows of seating, and standard all-wheel drive in Canada. With 31.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable and trouble-free for many shoppers, especially if you value comfort and everyday usability. The repeated praise for value, smooth driving, and highway efficiency suggests this is a model many owners feel confident living with over time. For used buyers, that kind of satisfaction lowers the odds of regretting the purchase, though you should still inspect any individual example carefully.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe?

This is a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can shop with some confidence if you focus on well-priced listings.

• Deal availability: 31.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 384 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.30% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $23,195 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe's resale value?

The current average of $23,195 CAD sits slightly below last year's $26,150 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favourable point. For a future seller, it also means resale expectations should be realistic unless the vehicle is especially well equipped, well maintained, and attractively priced. The Santa Fe's broad appeal and practical feature set should help support demand, but the softer market means you may not recover as much as a previous owner did. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 31.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.30% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $20,174 CAD, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $23,195 CAD average.
• It offers strong value in a practical five-passenger package.

The bottom line: Choose the 2021 if you want the more versatile, better-equipped Santa Fe with three-row flexibility and a strong owner satisfaction record. If your priority is saving money and you do not need the extra seating, the 2020 is the better value-focused alternative.
