Used 2021 Honda Civic for Sale nearMississauga, ON

How much does the 2021 Honda Civic cost?

Prices have softened 7.60% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 917 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 Honda Civic a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Honda Civic earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.2/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, and Cost effectiveness.

Owners consistently praise its stylish design, great fuel economy, comfortable ride, spacious trunk, and enjoyable driving experience. For you, that means it fits especially well if you want a practical compact car with strong everyday usability and a polished feel. The market also shows 29.1% of listings as good or great deals, which adds some shopping flexibility.

Is the 2021 Honda Civic reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owners describe it as reliable, fuel-efficient, and safe, with a reputation for peace of mind and dependable ownership. The expert assessment also points to a car you can count on, especially if you value a well-rounded compact with strong everyday usability. Honda does not include lengthy free maintenance or big ownership perks here, so long-term value depends more on the Civic’s durability and resale strength than on low running-cost extras. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is that age-related wear may matter more than the car’s core reputation.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Honda Civic?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The sedan comes in LX, EX, Sport, and Touring trims. The base setup is more basic, while the Touring adds the most upscale cabin and infotainment equipment.
• Powertrain: LX, EX, and Sport trims use a 2.0-litre four-cylinder with 158 horsepower and a CVT. The Touring gets a turbocharged 1.5-litre four-cylinder with 174 hp and more torque, which gives it the stronger performance feel.
• Safety package: Every Civic gets Honda Sensing, including adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, road departure mitigation, lane keeping assist, automatic high-beam headlights, and a multi-angle rearview camera. LaneWatch starts with EX, and blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic warning are not offered.
• Infotainment: Standard equipment includes a 5-inch LCD screen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, text messaging support, and HondaLink. Touring upgrades you to a 7-inch high-definition touchscreen, a 10-speaker audio system, HD Radio, SiriusXM, and navigation.
• Fuel efficiency: The CVT helps fuel economy, with an observed 6.8 L/100 km on a driving loop and an estimate of 7.1 L/100 km combined, including 7.8 city and 6.2 highway.

Which 2021 Honda Civic trim should I buy?

The 2021 Honda Civic is offered in 4 trim levels: LX, EX, Sport, and Touring.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the simplest way into the Civic sedan, and it gives you the core Civic formula with standard Honda Sensing, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and the 2.0-litre engine. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost path into the model and do not need extra comfort or tech.
• EX: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds LaneWatch while keeping the Civic’s practical strengths intact. Choose it if you want a better-equipped daily driver without stretching to the top trim.
• Sport: This trim keeps the 2.0-litre setup but adds a more style-focused presentation and 18-inch wheels. It suits you if appearance matters more than extra tech.
• Touring: This is the most upscale Civic sedan, with the turbocharged 1.5-litre engine, the 7-inch touchscreen, premium audio, navigation, and the most complete cabin experience. Buy this if you want the most refined version and are willing to pay for it.

The Touring trim is the only one with the top-rated LED headlights, and that matters for the Civic’s highest safety designation.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Honda Civic?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 29.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 917 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.60% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $21,185 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Honda Civic's resale value?

The current average of $21,185 CAD sits slightly below last year's $22,927 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favourable point, but it also means future sellers may face a more competitive market if prices stay under pressure. The Civic’s broad appeal, strong owner satisfaction, and reputation for reliability should help support demand over time. Even so, resale value will depend on condition, trim, and how well the car has been maintained.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Honda Civic safe?

The 2021 Honda Civic earns a Top Safety Pick designation from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and five-star ratings in every single assessment from the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard on every Civic and includes adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, road departure mitigation, lane keeping assist, automatic high-beam headlights, and a multi-angle rearview camera. LaneWatch is available starting with EX, but there is no traditional radar-based blind-spot warning system and no rear cross-traffic warning system. The IIHS Top Safety Pick rating applies only to Touring trim, which has the top-rated LED headlights.

Should I buy a 2021 Honda Civic or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 29.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.60% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It is the outgoing 10th-generation Civic with strong value, solid fuel economy, and broad appeal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $19,917 CAD, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $21,185 CAD average.
• Minor design tweaks and more standard safety and convenience features stand out.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $23,510 CAD, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $21,185 CAD average.
• Honda redesigned the Civic sedan with major updates to technology, comfort, and driving performance.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of price, satisfaction, and proven ownership appeal, the 2021 is the main target. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2020 is the value play; if you want a newer redesign, move to the 2022.
