CarGurus Analysis: 2021 Ford Bronco
Summary
With 75 currently listed for sale and an average price of $37,639 CAD, 33.3% of 2021 Ford Bronco listings on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favourably reviewed: Owners rated the 2021 Ford Bronco 4.47 / 5 stars.
Why it stands out
The 2021 Ford Bronco stands out as a reboot of an icon, blending retro styling cues from the original Bronco with modern capability and convenience. It keeps the round headlights and upright, rugged look, and it is offered in both two- and four-door configurations with a convertible option. The doors can also be removed, which reinforces its open-air, off-road character. Underneath, it is based on the Ford Ranger and has the proportions of a mid-size SUV, so it aims to combine classic Bronco personality with a more contemporary footprint.
This model year also brings a strong mix of technology and hardware. The cabin includes a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a six-speaker audio system, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, a 4G LTE wireless modem, and keyless entry, while available equipment includes navigation, a wireless charger, auto high-beam headlights, heated seats, and a premium B&O sound system. A trio of engine options is available, including a 2.3-litre inline-four and a 2.7-litre twin-turbo V6 at launch, plus a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 added with the Raptor trim. The Bronco also uses body-on-frame construction, Dana axles with front and rear electronic differentials, and a range of off-road systems such as G.O.A.T. Modes, Trail One-Pedal Drive, Trail Turn Assist, and the Sasquatch package.
For buyers, the appeal is clear: the 2021 Ford Bronco is built to be a serious off-roader without giving up everyday usability. That said, it is not a bargain, with the buying guide noting that used examples are still commanding close to new prices in Canada. The same guide also flags poor fuel economy, noise, and big blind spots as drawbacks, so while the Bronco is highly distinctive and highly capable, it is best suited to shoppers who value style and trail ability over refinement and efficiency.

Love it! Came with the lux package and the heated steering wheel is coming in handy this time of the year. The only thing thats disappointing is the charging pad sucks and I wish it had the auxillary switches for future mods.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled from its earlier peak, which can help you buy more confidently today. If you buy well now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation later.
Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.47/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2021 Ford Bronco or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2021 if:
- 29.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 12.70% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.47/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
Consider the 2022 if:
- At $40,768 CAD, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $37,416 CAD average.
- It adds a broader model range that suits more budgets and off-road skill levels.
The bottom line: Choose the 2021 if you want the lower average price and are comfortable shopping carefully for a good deal. If you’re willing to spend more for a wider range of configurations and a newer model year, the 2022 is the better secondary path for buyers who want more choice.
