Love all its user friendly features. Wanted a vehicle that was easy to transport dogs in and the fold down configuration of seats in the touring model was perfect for me. But it’s also a surprising pleasure to drive and park. Who knew I’d be a mini van fan ; )

Electronics are terrible. Hard to figure out and go out often. Back tailgate opens when driver door is closed sometimes. CarPlay is unreliable. Chrysler tried to go high tech and in Chrysler style has failed.

Vehicle as a whole is fine. But good luck finding a used one that wasn’t a rental or that had been smoked in. Add Chrysler’s already questionable reliability to a former rental car and you are asking for trouble.

How much does the 2021 Chrysler Pacifica cost?
| Metric | Value |

| Current Average Price | $25,796 CAD |
| Year-Round Low | $25,796 CAD |
| Year-Round High | $33,072 CAD |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $33,008 CAD |
| Change vs. Last Year | −21.85% |
Prices have softened 21.85% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.
There are 140 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.
Is the 2021 Chrysler Pacifica a good car?
The 2021 Chrysler Pacifica is a strong fit if you want a family-focused minivan that balances everyday usability with a more upscale feel than many rivals. It earns 3.75/5 from owners and 8.67/10 from our experts, and the model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, Cost effectiveness, and Safety.
The Pacifica’s appeal comes through clearly in its revised styling, updated technology, and practical strengths. It remains easy to drive, offers abundant, well-designed storage space, and gives you a choice between a traditional V6 engine and a hybrid powertrain, which broadens its usefulness for different family needs.
30.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.
Is the 2021 Chrysler Pacifica reliable?
The 2021 Chrysler Pacifica is presented as a well-rounded family minivan with a strong emphasis on everyday usability, and its expert assessment supports that impression. The powertrain description points to a conventional 3.6-litre V6 paired with a nine-speed automatic, plus a hybrid setup that combines a V6 with dual motors and a 16-kWh battery, so you have a straightforward mechanical choice or an electrified alternative.
The expert notes also highlight that the Pacifica’s sound deadening was improved for the model year, with fresh windows, seals, and insulation helping keep road, engine, and surrounding traffic noise down. That kind of refinement usually matters in long-term ownership because it helps the vehicle feel less worn as the kilometres add up.
If you plan to keep one used for the long haul, the main ownership risk is choosing the wrong configuration for your needs, especially if you want all-wheel drive or hybrid efficiency and need to be sure the trim you buy includes the equipment you expect.
What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Chrysler Pacifica?
Key things to evaluate:
- Trim level: The Pacifica’s higher trims bring a more premium cabin, with the Pinnacle standing out for soft-touch materials, classy finishes, quilted Nappa leather seats, suede centre row pillows, and Beber floor mats. The base trim is much simpler, so you should check carefully whether the features you want are standard or only available higher up the range.
- Powertrain: You can choose a traditional 3.6-litre V6 with a nine-speed automatic or a hybrid powertrain with a dual-motor electrically variable transmission and a 16-kWh battery. The hybrid is front-wheel drive only, while all-wheel drive is available only on gasoline models.
- Safety package: Most safety features arrive at the Touring-L grade, including automatic pedestrian emergency braking, blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking sensors, and forward collision warning with active braking. Adaptive cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, automatic high beams, front parking sensors, a surround-view camera, and lane departure warning with lane keep assist are available in packages or standard on the Pinnacle grade.
- Infotainment: Uconnect 5 is standard, and it uses a 10.1-inch touchscreen. Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto come standard, but there is no head-up display.
- Fuel efficiency: The traditional V6 is rated at 12.4 L/100 km in the city, 8.4 on the highway, and 10.6 combined. With all-wheel drive, those figures change to 14.1 L/100 km city, 9.4 highway, and 12.0 combined. The hybrid uses 2.9 litres-equivalent per 100 kilometres and 8.0 L/100 km combined.
Which 2021 Chrysler Pacifica trim should I buy?
The 2021 Chrysler Pacifica is offered in 5 trim levels: Touring, Touring-L, Touring-L Plus, Limited, and Pinnacle.
Here's the short version:
- Touring: This is the entry point, but you should treat it as the value-focused starting trim rather than the most feature-rich choice. It makes sense if you want the Pacifica’s core space and family utility at the lowest price, but you should compare it carefully against the next trim because many safety features arrive higher up.
- Touring-L: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds the safety equipment that most families will want, including automatic pedestrian emergency braking, blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking sensors, and forward collision warning with active braking. If you want the sweet spot between price and equipment, this is the trim to target.
- Touring-L Plus: This trim builds on the Touring-L with more equipment and sits in the middle of the range for buyers who want a more complete Pacifica without jumping all the way to the luxury-oriented trims.
- Limited: This is the better choice if you want a more upscale feel and stronger equipment content without going all the way to the top. It suits you if comfort and convenience matter more than keeping the purchase as lean as possible.
- Pinnacle: This is the premium pick, with the most luxurious cabin treatment and the most complete equipment list. It is the trim to buy if you want the Pacifica to feel as close to a near-luxury minivan as possible.
Most safety features come into the picture at the Touring-L grade, while adaptive cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, automatic high beams, front parking sensors, a surround-view camera, and lane departure warning with lane keep assist are available in packages or standard on the Pinnacle grade.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Chrysler Pacifica?
The current market looks moderate for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient and compare listings carefully.
- Deal availability: 30.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 140 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 21.85% compared with last year.
If you find a listing below $25,796 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2021 Chrysler Pacifica's resale value?
The current average of $25,796 CAD sits slightly below last year's $33,008 CAD.
That price movement suggests the Pacifica has become more accessible on the used market, which can help you buy in at a lower cost today. For a future seller, though, it also means you should expect resale values to depend heavily on trim, condition, and equipment because the market has already adjusted downward. If you buy well now, you may be able to limit depreciation pain, but a higher-priced trim will still need to be especially well equipped and well kept to stand out later.
Is the 2021 Chrysler Pacifica safe?
The 2021 Chrysler Pacifica has received a five-star overall rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.
The Pacifica comes with up to 116 standard or available safety features, and in Canada most of the key safety equipment appears at the Touring-L grade. That includes automatic pedestrian emergency braking, blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking sensors, and forward collision warning with active braking. Adaptive cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, automatic high beams, front parking sensors, a surround-view camera, and lane departure warning with lane keep assist are available in packages or standard on the Pinnacle grade.
At the time of publication, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety had not yet rated the model.
Should I buy a 2021 Chrysler Pacifica or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2021 if:
- 30.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 21.85% compared with last year.
- The refreshed styling, updated tech, and premium Pinnacle trim matter to you.
The bottom line: The 2021 is the right pick if you want the refreshed Pacifica with its updated styling, Uconnect 5, and stronger premium appeal. If you are more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may still make sense, but the 2021 is the better choice when you want the newer look and tech without giving up the Pacifica’s core family-friendly strengths.
